fault - milestone one

Do not buy this game, the next chapter 'milestone' crash very often so you won't be able to finish the story This feels more like a novel than a visual novel, to be honest. I'm already tired of hearing the same music and seeing the same CGs, and I'm only at chapter 5. There is no voice acting either. The story isn't really bad, but it's not what was sold to me in the description. I expected an immersive journey with nice CGs to go along with it, or to see whatever “3D camera technique” they were talking about. Instead, I ended up with an investigation in a “normal” city, which isn’t very exciting for a fantasy setting, and the CGs themselves feel pretty standard. Honestly, it feels like the fantasy setting doesn’t really matter and is mostly used as an excuse to force situations that move the story forward. A teleportation to start the story and impose a deadline, that’s basically it. Also, the game doesn’t have Steam Cloud support, so I can’t play it on my Steam Deck. I can’t even stream it from my PC because the game doesn’t let me lock the framerate to 30 FPS. It’s stuck at 144 FPS, which is way too high for streaming.

Incredibly charming title, would recommend to anyone, even more so if they have never played a visual novel, I think it's a fantastic introductory VN. The dialogues are funny, tense, or dramatic in a really balanced way, the cast is memorable, and the story doesn't drag, it hooks you, makes you ask questions, and then gives you the answers in a satisfying conclusion without overstaying it's welcome. Of course, this is the first entry into the franchise, and the ending sets you up for its sequel, but the story contained on this game is not affected by this at all, feels like a self-contained game. I also felt the music was incredible and gave the game a pretty unique feel to it, story was memorable, characters were well-rounded, and the art was charming. Overall, I would easily recommend this title!

Well made and looks great but i found the story rather boring, couldn't get into it. The fantasy setting feels super forced and it's less of a "visual" novel and more just.. a novel. Doesn't feel immersive or interactive.
