The male love interests are based on well known fairy tale characters, and they are gender swapped. Episode I focuses on Cinderella and Red Riding Hood. Episode 2 focuses on Gretel and Kaguya. Episode 3 focuses on Snow White and the Wizard. The epilogue centers on Alice. The story begins with a prologue where you play as a female protagonist who awakens in a world of darkness with no memories. You cannot even remember your own name. Soon, you meet a short blond haired boy with blue eyes and a sharp tongue. He also has amnesia. Despite his rude attitude, your protagonist responds with confidence and matches his remarks. This was my favorite game out of the whole collection! I loved the characters and how the story came together. Make sure to play the other episodes before episode 3 (duh) or the story won't make complete sense.

Here, in episode 3, things take a very sharp curve into darkness. Not like they hadn't already; we saw as much in Gretel and Kaguya's routes. But here, things start to connect in ways I never could have thought. Even when I assumed I had it figured out, I was wrong. The plot thickened and the sky crashed down on me each time something new was uncovered. In this episode, we have Snow White, and the Wizard. Their importance is insane. Gone are the fluffy, sweet moments we had in episode 1, or even the comedy we experienced in episode 2 here and there. This one hits you over the head continuously with pain, anguish, sorrow. I honestly thought they had labelled this piece as a psychological horror the way things unravelled. But, by god, was it an amazing experience. I loved it so much. I do wish we had more one on one time with these two love interests as it feels like they were shorted a bit in terms of their own personalities in favor of the main story. Yet, it worked out, because I found myself gasping and freaking out with every piece of lore. This entry into the series clears up a lot of unanswered questions, though not all.
