Take the Dream IX

RPG Maker strikes again! "Take the Dream IX" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This RPG Maker asset flip is directly in the middle of what you'd expect from RPG Maker asset flips on Steam... a garbage high school anime club dropout fan-fiction about, you guessed it, the "developers" imaginary girlfriends. The cringe here is enough to make you throw up in your mouth a bit... it is so badly written and so incredibly cringey. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. Визуальный стиль, хоть и выполнен в пиксельной графике, поражает своей детализацией и красочными локациями. Музыкальное сопровождение прекрасно дополняет атмосферу игры, создавая нужное настроение в каждой сцене. Однако, боевая система кажется несколько устаревшей и однообразной. Сражения становятся рутинными, и даже с разнообразием оружия и способностей героям не хватает глубины. Кроме того, в игре присутствуют неприятные баги и ошибки, которые иногда приводят к зависаниям и потере прогресса. Несмотря на эти недостатки, "Take the Dream IX" обладает определённым шармом и способна увлечь поклонников классических RPG. Если вы готовы закрыть глаза на устаревшую боевую систему и технические проблемы, то игра может подарить вам несколько часов увлекательного приключения. Но стоит учитывать, что это скорее ностальгическое путешествие в прошлое, чем современный хит.

got like half way through it like 2 years ago now? interesting idea and good horror with parts of good writing mostly giving thumbs up cus indie niche dev. buggy ahh game but not so to be unplayable
