Tales of Lagoona

[h3] Much better than the usual HO games. [/h3] The game play was different than what I'm used to. Collect items from HO scenes to either sell or to complete quests. The money can then be used to buy items to decorate the main scene. The graphics are colourful and the characters are funny and cute. Besides the HO scenes there are lots of mini puzzles which are enjoyable and not hard to solve. There are 2 modes to play, Relaxed or Timed. I'm looking forward to playing the next game in the series of three.

So far....... This is a great HOG/Puzzle game considering it's over 10 years old! I love the music, it really fits the game well and is something that I normally turn down on these type of games. Some of puzzles are better than expected, and very playable.

Tales of Lagoona - Orphans of the Ocean is a hidden object game of outstanding quality which is supported by a simple but brilliant underwater story through Islabelle and many more lovely characters. A key point to note is that the game incorporates a host of additional puzzles ranging from jigsaws to sudoku: most of these are quite enjoyable though a few can be tediously time-consuming - the benefit here is that the player can skip these mini puzzles at virtually no cost and continue the game accordingly. The puzzle architecture is very well thought out and uses excellent graphics. A very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable multi-puzzle game fully recommended for puzzle connoisseurs!

Great game but Artifax Mundi its not. A colorful world EXCEPT for the majority of the HOG scenes. That's where it shows its old school beginnings. DARK, DARK, DARK. Still, if you play in the relaxed mode its fine. You know how in some HOG games the object is mostly hidden and you have to guess, is this it??? Well thank goodness they have very, very few of those. They have a few but they are spaced so far between each event its okay. However, these guys did a great job at hiding the objects. Very few tricks just a great job at hiding objects in plain site. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the game is designed to grind, Very surprising in an HOG game but you know you are not going to be spending months on this game . So as I take a break for Fallout 76 and Balders Gate 3, I'll spend some time in this game world, maybe even get the sequels.
