This game has been in my library for 15 years and for some reason it was always stuck in the back of my mind as one of those backlogged games that I wanted to, and definitely would eventually, play. Well, I finally did, and it's fun. Works great on Steam Deck too!

If you grew up trying out games during trial periods on WildTangent, there's a chance you ran into Tank Universal. I remember that I used to play this game from beginning to end with no focus on the story at all. Only the visuals and the gameplay were all I was focused on. I did not remember it being slow and I was researching how to increase the framerate. And then it donned on me. Even though games today manage to go 60fps and beyond, playing this game at 30fps is oddly...better. Combined with the visual computer fuzzy screen appearance and the TRON atmosphere, 30fps felt more than just an engine limitation. It was for an artistic direction. With that being said, the game is incredibly fun. The story plays out fairly simple. The character names are creative to the point I don't know if they're based on anything, but a breath of fresh air. The main character, George, is meant to be relatable even if he takes a back seat after...well, sitting down participating in the Tank Universal game. I kinda wished his character was more fleshed out inside the program, the feeling of not wanting to get sick and just live, experience life in its joy and adventures. But I felt he was underpl…

One of those games you randomly find in your library with no recollection of how it got there. Anyways, I thought nothing can be worse than the latest tron movie but then I found this game. Holy ♥♥♥♥ it's so ass you won't believe it
