This is clearly a rage bait game. I played it with 3 friends and we had a good time overall. There are a few bugs, but considering the price, it’s not a big issue. I’ll keep it in my library since it’s fun to jump into with friends, especially in a casual or drunk setting.

Didn’t expect much going in, but this ended up being way more fun than I thought. For a first game, Tater Up works surprisingly well. The climbing feels simple at first, then quickly turns chaotic once other players get involved. Half the fun is getting knocked down, panicking, and trying to climb back up while everyone else is messing with you. The mini-games like soccer and hockey are a great idea. They break the climb in a good way and usually end up deciding who actually wins. Some of the funniest moments came from those sections. There’s no tutorial, but honestly that fits the game. You figure things out by failing a lot, and that’s kind of the point. Even when you’re losing, it’s still funny. Overall, it’s a solid first project and a really fun game to play with friends. I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot.

Looks like a fun game, but unfortunately while attempting to make a video on it with a friend. We noticed the entire online system did not work. No matter what we did, we could not join each other. I really hope they can fix the issue because the game truly does look like it could be fun with friends! If there is something we missed, please let me know but I think this is where a tutorial could have come in handy. Wish you the best of luck!
