Taxi Chaos is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. It's a ripoff of Crazy Taxi, and despite being much newer and having better graphics, it's worse in all other respects. Usually games are awful because the developers didn't bother with graphics, despite knowing that video games are a visual medium. Here, it's just about really poor gameplay and really poor console porting. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Because this is designed for handheld/portable gaming appliances, it car…

Taxi Chaos is an arcade-style driving game developed by Team6 Game Studios and published by Lion Castle Entertainment and Current Games, clearly inspired by the high-energy taxi games of the late arcade and Dreamcast era. It embraces a deliberately old-school design philosophy, focusing on immediacy, exaggerated driving physics, and score-chasing rather than realism or narrative depth. From the moment players hit the streets of the fictional New Yellow City, the game makes its intentions obvious: it wants to recreate the thrill of reckless speed, constant motion, and racing against the clock, delivering a nostalgic experience that feels intentionally uncomplicated. The central gameplay loop is built around picking up passengers and delivering them to their destinations as fast and as chaotically as possible. Time is always ticking down, and every successful drop-off rewards players with additional seconds, encouraging constant risk-taking and route optimization. Drifting through corners, jumping over traffic, and smashing through city obstacles all contribute to the arcade fantasy, even if the driving physics feel more loose and floaty than precise. The controls are easy to grasp,…

It just doesn't feel fast. Learning the game is overly simple, and the game it's clearly trying to emulate- Crazy Taxi- had tons of hidden techniques that made the game speed up and feel good to play, and it was worth it to learn just to feel cool. If this game had more tech, I'd have stuck around to learn it, but as it stands it's just not there. They clearly designed and developed this game to hit the same highs that SEGA did with CT, and since they made the dumb decision to delist it this is the best you can do. But it's not really a good competitor, and that's kind of evident within minutes of playing it. It doesn't feel right, the challenge is in the wrong places, and it just doesn't feel stylish.
A Good Game with some Rooms for Improvements
I won't talk too much about this game being a clone to "Crazy Taxi" like any other players and reviewers had already done. Team6 had been making video games just like this since the early 2000s, with their Taxi Racer Berlin, Taxi Racer 2 (New York and London), and many more taxi games that I actually like to kill the time back then. So I only wanted to say that this is probably the sequel to their Taxi Racer 2: New York. What I like about this game, is that it really test our skills to navigate through the city without the use of a map. It's getting even more extreme that we also need to navigate through the roofs of this concrete jungle, finding all those hidden collectables and even special fares. What I don't like is the rigid camera system that doesn't allow the players to freely look around. There's no first person/hood camera either. The controls for keyboard aren't even customisable, which is very vital. I hope you guys will think about these for the future releases.

I really like this game. The graphics are very good. Works great with a xbox controller. The voice acting is good. Some might find it repetitive but there are many things to unlock. Definite buy when it's on sale.
