Did I get this before Poker Night at the Inventory Remaster? Yes. Was it to cope? Absolutely. Did it work? No. Do I hate the grandma? YES.2 found this helpful
Telltale Texas Hold ’Em is a game that demonstrates how much personality can elevate a simple concept. Developed and published by Telltale Games, this poker title takes the familiar rules of Texas Hold ’Em and surrounds them with a cast of eccentric characters whose conversations, rivalries, and comedic exchanges become just as important as the cards on the table. Rather than presenting poker as a serious simulation focused exclusively on strategy and competition, the game embraces humor and character-driven entertainment, creating an experience that remains surprisingly enjoyable years after its original release. At its foundation, the game is a straightforward poker tournament. Players sit at a table with four computer-controlled opponents and compete to accumulate chips through a series of hands. The mechanics follow the standard rules of Texas Hold ’Em, making the game accessible to poker enthusiasts while also providing enough guidance for newcomers. The learning curve is gentle, allowing inexperienced players to understand the fundamentals without feeling intimidated. This accessibility is one of the game's strongest qualities, as it opens the door for a much wider audience …1 found this helpful
This is one of the best buys i could have gotten on this sale, i love the banter between every character but i also hate boris, harry is the goat and ted is a close 2nd and grandma is just there. would buy again
the good game ever, i won the tournament !
It's Texas Hold'em, but with personality. If you like the card game, this is a great way to play a few hands and kill some time. It's also more fun than playing against normal computers, because of the banter that the characters have. Realistically though, you'll hear all the voice lines within the first couple hours. At just $1, this gets a huge recommendation from me. But if you have a little extra cash, Telltale also put out Poker Night at the Inventory, which has waaaay better characters, a much better look, and a lot more voice lines.
this game is sooooo funny with like, a friend or smth
