Testimony of Shew: Depths of Sheol

Works fine in UEVR, but for some reason I found insanely hard in the first side scrolling section and just had to give up. I'd come back to it if there was an update that fixed it.

Worst game I've ever played? I wouldn't swear to it, but quite possibly. The important controls are not explained (but the nonsensical ones are!). Two hands required (arrows and mouse) for movement, but then hit E to move everything forward. And the left shift key to jump, which you have to do WHILE using the arrows and mouse. Myst gave more directions about what was expected in the game, and when you follow the directions, you end up in jail. Where you die repeatedly because the first puzzle is dependent on perfect timing, but the scene is so dark you can't see where you are supposed to move. Plus the whole "my hands aren't big enough to cover that many keys" issue. Also, the opening message is infuriating, TLDR: No direction, infuriating story, bad controls, too dark.

Very creative and imaginative! Pretty raw insight into this person's journey. Riddled with metaphors and imagery in the art work and background that you can tell have a deeper meaning to the developer. Fun puzzles and creative take on platformer style games.

I really WANT to leave a positive review but I cant yet. The story telling is great from what little ive seen of it, with a powerful and relatable message. It seems like a controller would be best for this game yet buttons are constantly lagging, often mistaking moving left or right and jumping for moving down which cuts the jump short and kills you. Couple that with the framerate constantly tanking on a high end system, and the very little margain for error in the gameplay mechanics and it becomes near impossible... Ill try again later with a keyboard and mouse and see if that makes a difference, but I doubt it with the fps tanking randomly while in the very first platform portion of the game. I really love stories like these and I hope the creator can debug this enough that people can play through this unique and powerful story.
