"Only The Lost Shall See" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. Usually when developers rip off a bunch of other people's assets and slap their own name on them, they at least make some kind of effort to make a "game" of some sort out of the mess. Here, however, while the "borrowed" game assets are exceptionally good quality (thanks Unreal Marketplace), the developer didn't bother with much of a game, this is a pointless walking sim with a little bit of badly done jumping around. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for thi…

The jumping is annoying and I couldn't care less about the tokens.

"The Lost Shell Sea" immerses players in a breathtakingly beautiful world, showcasing a visually stunning experience. With richly detailed environments, exploration is both enjoyable and captivating. However, the movement mechanics leave something to be desired. The controls feel cumbersome and lack the polish you'd hope for, which somewhat detracts from the overall enjoyment. That said, the gameplay itself remains engaging, especially for a movement-focused game, as the challenges and interactions keep it lively. If you can look past the awkward controls, "The Lost Shell Sea" serves up an immersive and delightful adventure. While I appreciated the ending, the game's peaceful vibe often contradicts its tendency to feel like a rage-inducing challenge. A significant issue is the controls, which can hinder the player's experience. I’m not sure if it’s better suited for a game controller; using the keyboard certainly made things trickier for me. There were two segments that particularly frustrated me, consuming about 80% of my playtime. Still, I enjoy the game for what it offers. The atmosphere is truly wonderful, though the repetitive sound of the jumping character can become a distr…

This game has terrible movement/jumping mechanics. Just because a game 'looks' pretty doesn't make it a good game. Definitely glad it was free would.

The atmosphere of game is wonderful. But this annoying sound of jumping man is superfluous, I can't play.
