The Beast Inside is a game that I really wanted to enjoy because I love story and horror games, but unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The story follows Adam, a CIA cryptanalyst who moves with his wife to an isolated house and finds an old diary belonging to a man named Nicolas. From there you basically experience two different timelines and slowly try to understand how everything is connected. The idea itself is actually really interesting and probably the main reason why I continued playing. The atmosphere is also pretty good. Some locations are genuinely creepy, the graphics still look nice and there were a few moments that actually scared me. But after some time the game started to feel more annoying than scary. The gameplay was my biggest problem. Some puzzles felt confusing for no reason and I spent way too much time just walking around trying to understand what the game wanted from me. The chase sequences were also frustrating and instead of feeling scared I was mostly just getting annoyed The story becomes more complicated as you continue and honestly at some point I just stopped caring that much. I wanted to see the ending, but mostly because I alr…

100% achievements, so I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. That said, this game has a lot of unrealized potential. The atmosphere, visuals, and sound design are fantastic, but the pacing becomes inconsistent, and the story loses some of the momentum it builds early on. There were moments where I kept playing more to see it through than because I was genuinely hooked. Despite its flaws, it's still worth experiencing if you're a fan of psychological horror. Just don't expect it to be perfect.

Fantastic horror game with very cool story. Multiple endings. Music is awesome. The atmosphere is perfect. There are some parts which were a little bit "meh", but as the game is going deeper and deeper it gets more scary, more atmospheric and really great. Definitely go for it!
