About The Bunker

The only way out is through. What started as a quiet night camping with friends has become a found-footage nightmare. Military jets roar overhead. A distant siren cuts through the silence. Drawn to a seemingly abandoned bunker for safety, the doors slam shut behind you. Now, you are trapped in the dark, forced to navigate the decaying corridors, uncover the truth behind a long-forgotten experiment, and survive the horrors lurking within. The Bunker is a short PSX-style, VHS horror experience (~60 mins)  that blurs the line between reality and nightmare. Grainy, distorted visuals, realistic first-person movement, and an oppressive atmosphere pull you into an immersive psychological horror experience. Every flicker of your flashlight could reveal something you wish you hadn’t seen. Cryptic notes line the walls, remnants of a failed experiment—and something else is still lurking in the shadows. Will you unravel the bunker’s secrets, survive its horrors, and discover the fate of your friends?

  • VHS Horror Aesthetic: Distorted visuals, analog grain, and eerie found-footage presentation heighten the fear.
  • Immersive First-Person Perspective: Realistic camera movement pulls you deeper into the nightmare.
  • Unravel a Dark Experiment: Cryptic messages, unsettling remnants, and a growing sense of unease drive the mystery  The Bunker keeps.
  • Atmospheric Sound Design: Echoing footsteps, distant whispers, and unsettling silence keep you on edge.
  • Psychological Horror: The terror isn't just what you see—it’s what you think is there.

Decent little horror game. The very low stamina bar is very annoying though. And the final part is also not that good and I am missing an ammo counter.

The Bunker is an indie psychological horror title developed by Cyber752 and published by indie.io. Built around a combination of retro-inspired visuals and analog horror sensibilities, the game places players in a confined underground setting where uncertainty becomes the greatest source of fear. The premise begins with what should have been an ordinary camping excursion before circumstances take a sinister turn, forcing the protagonist into an abandoned bunker while an unseen danger stalks the darkness. From its opening moments, the game makes it clear that survival is less about overcoming enemies and more about enduring an environment designed to make players feel isolated and uncomfortable. What immediately separates The Bunker from many contemporary horror releases is its commitment to presentation. The low-polygon aesthetic, reminiscent of late-1990s console games, works hand in hand with VHS-style visual effects to create an experience that feels like a recovered piece of media rather than a traditional game. Grainy filters, dim lighting, and distorted imagery are used effectively throughout the adventure, ensuring that players are never entirely confident in what they are …

– You enter a bunker. – You “explore” the bunker. – You read some poorly written notes. – You die repeatedly to some fast-moving creepy_smile.png. – You eventually make your way out of the bunker. – The end. The ending credits labelled this “to be continued,” despite offering nothing worth continuing. It wasn’t worth paying for, and it wasn’t worth playing.
