What people miss: From what other reviewers have said before (and probably the devs themselves): This is a mini game made by a small team of students and some guy named Josh. Not sure what Josh did but good job guys! It is very hard to make a game in such short amount of time and with no money... (only love and a vision) So, this is not some triple A game... So, play it with an open mind and a few grains of salt... It is a proof of concept. As so, It works pretty well... Controls: Depending on what controller the player uses the controls can be fast or slow. (ie: PS controller and X-Box controller or some no name brand). The game still plays fine with the keyboard and mouse ( don't use a trackpad, the monster will have you for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you use one... ) Graphics: There is a lot of things to see outside the hospital, just look around... Inside, the rooms are not empty, they have all the equipment you would find in a dilapidated hospital. It even has a dead scientist by the front door... Sadly, as soon as the chase starts, you can't enjoy the environment and all the little details... This game has some nice cutscenes... The main character seems to be the mo…1 found this helpful
No, it's not ready yet ; it's finishable in minutes, still use generic fonts that completly kills the scary ambience, failed the base ruling of a single menace being able to catch up to you, since your base speed is superior to it and taking the vials doesn't need any time. Futhermore, enemy pathfindings has to be fixed since I got it stuck on open doors. I would suggest : -options menu with keybinding and sensitivity -papyrus, renaissance or any artisitic font -enemy accelerates once they have detected you, with higher speed that the player base walking but lower speed that its base running -far less stamina and stamina generation in order to evades the enemy but barely distance it -vial needed to be extracted for a machine, asking you to stay still for some time -maps being a 2D texture on a 3D object you hold in your hand by pressing a button rather than jpg on screen, letting the game continue in real time and forcing the player to read when there's a good ambient light -semi-randomly generated room placements and vial positions -avenging a friend and not fellow doctors -include open doors in AI pathfinding1 found this helpful
Poorly optimized, no options menu that I could see. The monster walks right through closed doors so trying to shut doors to block pathways doesn't work. The only option is running. Fortunately, the game does provide a map that shows where you are so it's not all that difficult to get through this brief experience. The monster also isn't overly fast so it's not hard to stay away from it as long as you don't stumble directly onto it or end up in a dead end.
