Another solid horror movie game from Supermassive. I quite liked the cast of this one1 found this helpful
Worst Title of the Dark Picture Anthology After really enjoying House of Ashes and Little Hope our expectations where quite high. But the promising story-hook at the beginning that lets you absolutly down. The "Killer" has no personality and isn't scary in any way. The level design, espacially new introduced mecanics, are not contributing in any way to an interesting gameplay. A lot of skill checks in the late-game only result in either living or dying and most decisions seem to not affect the outcome. We played as a party of 4 people on my couch the whole evening through and all ended up being tired and bored.
Super buggy, with the other characters soft locking you by being immovable objects. Bugged QTEs, arbitrary decisions. All-in-all an utter waste of time. By far the worst of the 4.
good
definitely worth it if you enjoy the series or genre & it's on sale but not the strongest entry. i'd say it's number 3 for me, just ahead of man of medan. it looks great but the premise never really drew me in. it felt predictable & even the ending felt unsatisfying. your choices matter sure but i don't really like the characters although i will say they were well-written. jessie buckley is awesome love her
