The Doll's Window

Theres no options, no control accessibility, no changing the volume, nothing. The carpets lead you to walls. The backdrop is poorly designed. The movement is jarring and unusual. The transition between scenes is too abrupt. You cant play using WASD. The control instructions dont actually match the real controls. The storyline is uninteresting. This game is just awful. Usually I have SOMETHING positive I can say but this time I just dont.

If my future child ever wants to transition, i will lock them in their room until they beat THIS THING and harvester without the help of the internet as a torture method.

This game was genuinely one of the worst horror games I've played in a while. While the artstyle is REALLY good (and i'm not being sarcastic or lying, it is really good), the gameplay does NOT go the same way. The gameplay is literally THE WORST part of this game, being basically a walking simulator all the time, with puzzles reliant on rng AND having the possibility to be an instakill all the time, forcing you to start the game from the beggining. And also the enemies that appear from time to time, which you gotta walk (since there's no sprint) to avoid, but they're faster, the movement is AWFUL, and they keep forcing you to stand still for some reason I don't know. And, going back to the puzzles subject, aside from the rng, there are puzzles you literally have no hint or a clear way on how to solve it, relying on either looking for a guide or interacting with EVERYTHING and hoping you will eventually trigger a random ass event in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ otherside of the map (even though you don't know it's there until you walk 25 times through the same parts of the map). If this was a paid game, i'd compare it to Garten of Banban, since the sole purpose of their game is to make sure…

A lot less glitchy than Ami's room, however the puzzles are far too unclear. It could be worth getting a friend to play test your games, just to check how beatable they are and to check for glitches <3

It seems like a cool story and I love the background music. It kinda gives Mad Father and Ib vibes, which made me really like it at the beginning, and I even feel that I somewhat related to Elma from the little bit I learned about her but the gameplay itself is just so...frustrating. The main character moves too slowly to get away from enemies (enemies often seem faster than the main character) and once you're hurt, the character freezes and it's impossible to run away. I really do want to enjoy this game but it's so frustrating that it feels like a waste of time.
