The Dreamlands: Aisling's Quest

You start out not knowing what you are supposed to be doing, but you soon figure it out. This game was very short. I completed it in just under an hour (I have more time on record as I paused it for quite a while). The graphics are odd, but OK. The voice acting is excellent. The story is nicely done, but with a predictable ending. The game has 10 hidden achievements. I got 7/10 on my first playthrough. I assume the last 3 are for collectibles, but you have no way of knowing. There are collectible rabbits and journal pages, so I assume I'm missing some of those, but there is no accounting either in the game or on the steam achievements page (e.g. 5/10) to tell you if you are even close to getting them all. I don't know why this bugs me so much, but it does. :steammocking: As you progress in the game, you cannot go back to previous areas, but you can "save" and "load" which is a nice feature most HOGs do not have. While fairly janky, occasionally broken, and in need one or two polish passes, The Dreamlands is a short and sweet indie Point & Click/Hidden Object that emulates the genre well, and manages to have a lot of heart. I had to scrumm a bit to get through the 1 hour runtime, and there's a bit of pixel hunting, but the overall atmosphere was worth it, giving me nostalgic feels for the first time I played Journey to the Center of the Earth or Longest Journey. The voice acting and music also does a great job fleshing out the experience, and the puzzles, while fairly simple and sometimes a little "moon"-like, are overall satisfying to complete. I just wish the game was a little longer honestly. Going in I had no idea this was the same creator as Enola, and what can I say I dig his stuff. In a sea of mindless cash grabs, Domaginarium seems genuinely passionate about building experiences. Props.

Charming adventure game with a heartwarming story.

This is the worst game like this I have ever played. It doesn't tell you anything. The hint button is completely pointless. The graphics are terrible and the movements are extremely slow.

If you have played every other adventure game check it out if not there are better games worth your time
