Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

When I first laid eyes on this game, I knew I was destined to play it. And oh, was I right. It’s surely a game that won’t be for everyone, but I loved every minute of it. There was funny dialogue, a real sense of fantasy, and so many memorable characters. I loved interacting with every NPC and exploring everything to the fullest. Zoe was also a fantastic protagonist, and I really loved following her story. I’m honestly sad games like this aren’t being made anymore. But let’s face it, there are way too many things left unanswered, probably the most I’ve ever seen in a game. I really hope the next game clears some things up, because I wasn’t too fond of the way certain things were left, although I do wonder if it had something to do with budget issues or limitations. All in all, definitely a game that will stick with me for a long time.

[b] Механіки бою такий кринж, [/b] угарав всю гру :D А загалом сюжет знов таки на висоті, навіть можливо трошки краще чим в першій частині. Єдинне що я не зрозумів - любовна лінія. Ну літераллі чувак відправляє нашу героїню на самогубну місію. Вона повертається й така "ти мені подобаєшся, го сосатся", Вотофак ахахах Дякую, шо гра перестала бути душним квестом, як перша частина, через шо проходиться швидко. Але на початку гри це просто щось туди сюди, туди сюди. Оптимізацію квестів не продумали. Але проходиться за 10-11 годин, тому пофіг (не дивиться на мої години, я стояв афк 8 годин). Цікаво, шо там буде в останній серії трилогії Anyway, [h3] 8/12 НІША [/h3]

NUTS this game was ahead of its time, I got the cd as a present when I was around 13? I was brainless to proceed. Never played it , decided I should now. I'm flabbergasted, Very good plot I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. I will need to dig in those extras soon and figure it out. WHAT A PLOT BRUH, It would be a great movie too, Someone fund it ;D (People complain the gameplay was too easy, yes okay, enjoyed the story more. If it wasn't for that a dork like me would never manage to finish it, For once i enjoyed without stressing over, not every game needs to torture you) Anyway buy it.

Overall, I enjoyed this game. The best part for me is the story just like in the first game (The Longest Journey). Although, the story didn't feel resolved so I have many questions still. But the third game (Dreamfall Chapters) is available to play anyway.

The creator of the series loves feminism a bit too much to the detriment of the story being "believable". Let me explain. So, there's an oppressive force in the game that occupied the city of Arcadia, and rules with iron fist: mass incarcerations, executions, suppression, segregation, all the classics. It's a typical dictatorship, with islamic flavor added to it, and you know what kind of people rule over countries like that. But can you guess who governs over this regime in this game? If you didn't guess "a council of young girls", you're not progressive enough. I can't play a narrative focused game where the narrative itself doesn't work.
