After giving this game a try, it's clear that it has so much potential to be an amazing shooter! First off, I absolutely love the concept. It feels fresh and original, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual recycled storylines we see from big studios. You can really tell the developer put thought into it, and I genuinely appreciate that. The characters, too, are a standout, each one has their own unique personality and skillset, and it definitely adds more life and depth to the game. Now, I do want to mention something as a small artist myself: while I understand why AI-generated art was used, I personally feel it takes away from the charm and soul of hand-drawn, human-made art. I totally get that a small team with limited funding might find it tough to hire a full-time artist (especially one with high compensation expectations), but I do think that bringing in a human artist to rework the AI-generated images in the future could help the game a lot. Not only would it likely make the visuals more cohesive, but it would also make more players feel more comfortable supporting the game. This makes me rethink my opinion on League of Legends. This is like a skeleton for the base of a game. I think we need to buff the dude with the airplane. I also believe that most human beings can't take 20 bullets to the head, however I may just be built weak I guess. Kinda reminds me of Hog Hunter 2021. On a positive note, I like the small parkour obby. :). This got the "cart ride into spigglepop" vibes.

The Dreamscape | Open Beta is a really interesting sci fi shooter that I found more enjoyable once I started understanding how its world works. I play as one of the Scapers, powerful entities that can manipulate the dream world around them, while exploring an unstable area known as the Range. I liked the idea immediately because it gives the game a strange mixture of shooter mechanics, exploration and surreal dream logic. The combat is built around finding items and powerful Cores while dealing with enemies and environmental threats. I liked having to explore rather than simply following a straight path because it makes every area feel worth checking. The different Scapers also give the game some variety, and learning how their abilities work makes combat more interesting than simply pointing a weapon at everything. The Range itself is probably my favorite part. There are crafting stations, beacons, NPCs and other strange objects spread throughout the world, so there is always something that might be useful. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this.
