1. Atrocious UI. 2. Full cover only works for enemies. 3. RNG slot machine. 4. Waste of money.3 found this helpful
I purchased this back before it was released, but just got around to it now. The game is very good. Resource management, hiring guns, random events, battles with bandits, all while trying to protect and expand your territory from intruding clans. The game has nice progression through both the growth of your poses as well as improving your clan research. Strategy research even unlocks new strategic actions you can do on the strategy map. I've seen some comparisons to Hard West (also a good game), but I don't think its a good comp. Sure both games have cowboys in tactical combat, but The Feud is a bit deeper in some areas (like the territory control aspect of the game). And the AI is more dynamic. I'm playing on the second hardest difficulty (heroes can die) and the difficulty seems appropriate. The game doesn't hand you wins for free, but nothing has seemed insurmountable. Sometimes the enemy posse has a few guys who are high level (like 10s compared to your 3s), but those guys are still very killable with a little strategy. I also ran into the wolves in an early event. I think one character got about 25% damage. The rest were fine. I just stood on a rock and…2 found this helpful
Solid turn based tactics cowboy game, not quite as good as Hard West but no weird west vibe to this so you may prefer this if you want a more authentic game. Is quite challenging use of cover and formation quite important as you will be outnumbered in most missions. Good range of characters and skills, graphics and sound decent, maybe slightly overpriced but is good fun to play. A-1 found this helpful
Horrible performance. First stage of the story starts at 45 FPS with a good computer. It's not optimized at all.
To Be Honest, Boldly honest. - I might have bought this on sale and put it aside for a shinier bauble... I just loaded it up a week or two ago (time flies). All the facets of this game has the attributes of a great RPG. While the characters are more hollywood than real. It adds to the game play, As for turn based tactics... its spot on, the perks/talents are not OP, but if your character hits 6th level, they stack nicely. So if you go up a bandit of lvl 6 and you are second... Good luck and get ready to restart. All characters have their own quirks, some hired guns can be pretty awesome as well. The weapons are well balanced, if you rush through a board and run ahead, good luck... The one on one gun fights are a nice touch. Lastly, added equipment and horses add to your game. Lastly, this game has awesome replayability IMHO
Like turn based, and it has multiple difficulty levels, explore, research, build
