A short, creepy, atmospheric horror game made by indie devs. You're a housekeeper that has been assigned work at a house in Nichishima, Japan. On arrival, weird things start to happen, and a series of notes left by the owner unravels the story. The notes also provide the player clues to progress. The game doesn't hold your hand, but it's not too tricky either. The lighting and rain effects are great, the atmosphere is awesome, and I liked the authentic voice acting. The achievements are fairly easy to complete, and it took me around 80 mins to to get 100%. The devs are great, they're really friendly and listen to community feedback. The game is currently in early access, so there's just 1 chapter at the moment, but there will be a second chapter released over the next few months and I really look forward to playing it. It's important to support indie devs, so if you're considering this game, give it a try, especially if you enjoy supernatural horror games.

If you're a fan of psychological horror and love a game that actually listens to its community, The Ghost of Nichishima is a must-play. The improvements made since the demo show real dedication from the developers, making this one of the most polished and terrifying indie horror experiences in recent memory.

If you're a fan of atmospheric horror games, Ghost of Nichishima is a must-try. For an early access title, it delivers an immersive and genuinely nerve-racking experience, keeping you constantly on edge, always looking over your shoulder. The game has evolved significantly from its demo, introducing new puzzles and hidden secrets that add depth to the gameplay. Despite still being in development, Ghost of Nichishima feels impressively polished, with minimal bugs or glitches—something rare for early access horror games. The tension builds masterfully, with well-placed jump scares that hit hard without feeling cheap. The story is intriguing, leaving you eager to see what comes next, and the puzzles are both challenging and rewarding. From a streamer’s perspective, this game is a solid choice. The eerie atmosphere, unpredictable scares, and engaging puzzles make for great content, whether you’re playing solo or sharing the experience with an audience. I like the concept of the game. The atmosphere is creepy and unsettling, keeping you on your toes. I feel it can be difficult to progress... When the power came off, I searched the house for 20 minutes and couldn't figure out what to do. Maybe I'm just missing something...

We recently had the chance to play The Ghost of Nichishima live on stream, and it's a chilling experience worth talking about. The game drops you into a quiet Japanese village where a fresh start quickly turns into a haunting mystery. Inspired by real-life events and Japanese folklore, every shadow and whisper keeps you on edge as you explore the eerie surroundings. Visually, the game is stunning—even on low settings (which we had to use due to performance issues while streaming). Despite those early technical hiccups, it ran smoothly afterward, and the atmosphere never lost its grip. The slow-paced exploration is filled with beautifully crafted environments and a constant feeling of unease around every corner. Overall, The Ghost of Nichishima is a short but immersive first-person horror experience that fans of folklore-based scares and environmental storytelling will really enjoy. Highly recommended for those looking to get lost in something spooky and beautiful.
