The Glitch Fairy is a fast action platformer starring Monie, a spunky fairy with the unusual power to ''glitch'' her enemies.
Our story begins when Monie gets her flying ability stolen by her arch nemesis, the minigun-wielding Princess ''Badassia'' Spalanie.
Fortunately for our little fairy, she discovers a shrine that grants her a new magical power; The Glitch Beam, a powerful reality-bending tool that turns her enemies into all sorts of fun and useful things.
Now flightless, but stronger than ever, Monie embarks on a quest to confront her old rival and get her flying ability back!
The core gameplay of The Glitch Fairy focuses on jumping, shooting, dashing, and glitching. The Glitch Beam can be used as a speedrunning tool, or as a way to explore every nook and cranny each level has to offer.
Glitching different enemies will lead to different results! Spawning black holes, turning your magic blasts into flying swords, making you run like a 50s cartoon, creating a ghost platform, spawning healing items, giving you a harpoon gun, you name it!

An Underrated Gem, and people are missing out. I cannot praise this game enough for it's amazing narrative. This game changed my life, and my perspective of indie games just as much as games like Undertale and the likes. On the surface to some it may like classic style 2D side scroller with some nostalgic hand drawn animations. But deep inside there's a story that left me and my friends talking for days. One simple playthrough is enough, but for extra challenges it has just the right amount of push. If I were to compare it all together, this game is to the standards of Kirby or Shantae and even megaman, with easy to normal fun difficulty in its playthroughs, but if you want to go further beyond it has it's extra missions and then some, all which are extremely rewarding. The music is lovely. Lovable characters. And amazing gameplay.2 found this helpful
An absolutely fantastic game that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the kerby and megaman games with the touhou artstyle. A fun story unfolds as you are teased with lore information in old memories and cute interactions with the many different characters you will find in the game! Don’t let the artstyle fool you though this is not an easy game as you progress more mechanics are introduced and your understanding will evolve.2 found this helpful
The game's fantastic, and time only serves to prove that point. Great gameplay, fantastic music, artstyle that stays fun and timeless, and a fun and mildly goofy story that has more behind the smiles and wild world. It's some good stuff, and I cannot wait to see what comes next from these devs.
This game is a SOLID 10/10 From artwork to gameplay, there wasn't anything I could complain about! Plus the game greatly rewards exploration with different abilities and various secrets that add to the story overall. The game is hard at parts, but every time I got by the hard part I constantly felt like I was getting better at the game. So if you like 2d platformers AND bullet hells, check out the glitch fairy!!
Fairy Good Game! Would recommend! Plenty of twists and turns plot wise. Thats IF you are willing to 100% the game like I did. wwwwww
