The dev loves Zelda and Darksouls, but doesn't seem to know what made either of those fun to play. The hit detection is questionable, and every enemy can be flinched to death. The price tag is bananas dude. Band-aid huffers might enjoy it.

Got this game lumped in a bundle, would not have gotten for it's price, especially with the reviews. That said, let's say this stuff again. The game is okay, but severely unpolished, like a gem under a mountain unpolished. The game starts out fine, can't even tell anything is wrong really, up until the forest. There the enemies seem less polished, because the first enemy to throw stones reveal that despite being lobbed into the air, you still get hit by their shadow. oh, and the rock drawn "up high"? that hits you too on contact if you're above them. That's the same with most enemy attacks, that despite being way below you, if they're big, their entire hitbox hits you, regardless of the distance backwards. Next up, the stun locking, which another review aptly dubbed "flinching". Imagine using a lvl 1 Rattata with a bite that had 100% chance to flinch taking down a lvl 100 legendary. That's what the combat can boil down to once you get the knife. I stood behind a tree when facing the gorilla boss, and it constantly rolled into it trying to hit me, while I repeatedly threw the dagger at it; About a hundred stabs later, boss dead, that's it. Every encounter plays out in a near-identical fashion: any weapon strike knocks enemies backward, meaning the optimal strategy is always to push them into a wall and unload on them. If no walls are nearby, combat devolves into a cycle of striking, moving forward, striking again, and repeating. While new weapons are obtained throughout the game, they are either purely utility-based or just variations on dealing damage in slightly different ways.
