Amazing game. The weapons (melee and range) and spells feel really good to use. The bosses have this "it can destroy you the first few times and when you try enough it just clicks". It has ng+ and a boss rush mode btw
While I've found most bosses slightly lacking in terms of difficulty compared to blasphemous, I absolutely loved the design of every single one, and by no means was this game boring at any moment. Variety of weapons, spells and items gives it a ton of replayability - while I'm currently at the end of my first ng+ replay and ~40 hours, I can easily see myself spending 100+ on this game. When it comes to things I didn't like, some inputs feel a bit off sometimes. Parry timing is really weird, which was a letdown for me since I always prefer it to dodging, I've found it impossible to figure out how to parry most bosses' moves. Double jump input timing after wall jump seems like a bug - while it's possible to do it, it requires you to spam the jump button hoping the input will register at some point. Map could use a little bit more attention - more markers, and overall ui improvement. But all in all, despite these little quality of life quirks, I still would rate this game a solid 9/10. Story, atmosphere and combat-wise it holds up very well and I hope the quirks will be patched soon. Also worth noting the free DLC, absolutely based terrachad move from the devs.
The good: Cool gothic theme Different builds and weapon variety Exploration is rewarded The bad: Game feels a bit stiff control-wise, some finesse needed to avoid inputs getting eaten Map isn't as helpful as it could be at times when trying to backtrack or find doors Easy to get stuck in animations since they take a while and there's no cancel Overall: I liked this more and more as I played it. It's not incredibly difficult compared to other games in the genre although the last couple of optional bosses were challenging. I didn't bother parrying in this game because the parry felt a little weird and I don't find that parries work well in this genre since you're often swarmed. It took me about 10 hours to get to the end and another 5 to get all the things and get the best ending. Would be interesting to try this game out with a different class to see how much different it feels. 8/10
The game is legendary, and its main competitor is Blasphemous. We hope a sequel will be developed someday. Thank you to the developers.
Good game, very soulslike in everything except that it is quite easy compared to other soulslikes.
Me está gustando mucho! Es ta fuertemente inspirado en juegos soulslike pero es muy bueno! No esta muy complicado pero si te da buen reto! Aun no entiendo nada de la historia pero es lo chilo
