About Guilded Hearts

All things considered, Julian (name changeable) lives a pretty normal life.
He does online university work, is hopelessly single (but has a habit of crushing on cute boys), and spends most of his free time on a fantasy MMO – Lost Heroes.
Little does he know that Lost Heroes will be what pulls him into a new, budding romance...
Whether he pursues the arrogant pretty boy Guillermo, his charismatic roommate Casper, the coy store clerk Archie, or his mysterious guildmate Verdant, join Julian on an unexpected journey of self-discovery, heartache, and love.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise Guilded Hearts for its clever premise blending real-world college life with an MMORPG dating sim, smart writing, and emotionally satisfying romance routes that build meaningfully on each other. The game is noted as short but sweet, with accessible happy endings and a unique perspective on visual novels that resonates well with fans of BxB romance. Some players find the pacing and emotional weight perfect for relaxation, though a few mention wishing for more character art (CGs) and note the game may not immediately click with everyone on first playthrough.
In the online fantasy mmorpg Lost Heroes you can raid with the gang, have a pint at the local in-game tavern and even find romance in Guilded Hearts.
The Story
You (main character can be renamed but the default is Julian) are a college student who dreams of working in the games industry. You are also a huge fantasy fan into the popular online game Lost Heroes and your class in-game is a sorcerer. You can have four love interests that you meet around the online mmo Lost Heroes. Archie is charming and flirty. Casper, your roommate, is an extrovert who is playful, fun and a theatre student at the local college. Guillermo is arrogant and a snob that comes from a well-to-do family and lastly Verdant who is quiet, reserved and caring (and is also your online buddy who plays Lost Heroes with you). Each character has one ending and no bad endings so no matter what you decide your ending will be good and very happy. The point to save is also very obvious when the game asks you who to pursue and lists the 4 main romances as options. Save at this point to replay alternate routes after your first play-through. 🌶️ Spice Level - HOT (if you play with the n…17 found this helpful
very early in but honestly not hitting a sweetspot for me rn maybe later... I'll revisit in a few days or so and update if I feel differently
Well written visual novel with a fun twist that you're a gamer playing an MMORPG and the romances revolve around various people who also play the game. It's smartly written and having the two personas in game and out of it gives it a new perspective I haven't seen in this kind of visual novel before.
Cute game, I also liked not having to deal with guides and such to get the happy endings for everyone, Sweet and short but not too short. My heart almost couldn't handle it at times.
I enjoyed my time with this game. It's short, somewhere between 8 to 10 hours, with roughly 2 hours spent on each route. Each route ends sweetly despite the conflicts that arise, making it perfect for some well-timed bedtime reading. I adored how each of the routes adds on to the other routes. This was my route order and I appreciated how it lessened the meta-angst for me. Your mileage may vary, but I don't think I could've made it through this game if I had played the routes in any other order because I would've been too heartbroken by the ramifications of my choices. Kudos to the devs!
Verdant > Guillermo > Archie > Casper
I do wish that there were more CGs (looking at you Archie with your changing outfits in text but constant store uniform xD) because I loved the boys so much (plus Mira and Alex!), but I'm happy with the quality of the existing ones. Having different appearances for the MC was a nice touch, and the pixel sprites in Lost Heroes (the MMO) are just adorable!
Really heart touching, even if you're not really into BxB romances- it scratches that itch good.
