A Pinch of Magic

This is just really, really cute! I didn't care much for the music (turned it off right away) or the background images (meh) but the character sprites are beautiful and more important anyway. The story is lovely and well written and the three characters really likeable (MC is one of them. Everyone else in the story has about one sentence and no sprite but it's okay for this short game). You can customize your own character to be a guy/girl/divers. I played through just once to get the ending I was actually interested in, there are two more. (Might try those at another time but mostly to get the achievements - there are five: two can't be missed I think and then one for each ending.) All in all this is very short but as it's free I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who likes romantic VNs. (Edited to add info about the achievements for those interested.)

Recommended, with some caveats. The biggest issue, as some other people have noted, is Kiana's route—both what's there and what isn't. It's shorter than Mikhail's, there's only one ending whereas Mikhail has two, and it's also just not very romantic? Mikhail gets flirty with the MC several times, and they even kiss. Kiana... doesn't. They get a bit blushy around each other and admit they like each other, but that's it. No kissing, not even a hug. Which is weirder because Kiana is the character who has history with the MC! Plus, she's a mermaid, and apart from seeing her mermaid form once (not including the ending CG), there's zero magic present in her route apart from one moment where you can choose to use it to make her coffee. Lots of missed opportunities, and it actually almost feels insulting comparing her route to Mikhail's TWO. That said, I think what IS there is pretty cute. Kiana's an adorable character (I would have loved to see more of!!) and Mikhail did grow on me, even if his character felt a little inconsistent at times. A Pinch Of Magic is a fun free game with options. You are able to choose if you are a they/them, she/her or he/him as well as if you are in a straight relationship or dating the same gender. It is a reading game with fun background music however you'll have to use your imagination for the character's voices which isn't a bad thing. I highly recommend playing the game. It's a good game.
