✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's strategic unit placement mechanics, unique item combination system, and crisp pixel art presentation, with some enjoying the deep deckbuilding potential. However, common complaints center on unclear mechanics and synergies that make it hard to understand your strategy, sudden and punishing difficulty spikes, a lack of replay features or difficulty adjustments, and a pace that feels too fast for some players to engage meaningfully with the systems.

The main issue is that the mechanics and synergies are not clearly explained or easy to understand. You never really feel like you know what you're doing, you just click “next,” equip some random items, jump into a random battle, and win… until suddenly you hit a boss that feels impossibly strong. Any sense of meaningful combinations or intentional build strategy gets diluted very quickly. I understand this started as a solo developer project and was released after three years of work. There is clearly a lot of effort and skill involved - especially if the developer also handled the graphics and other elements. However, the fun factor fades fast because the game creates an illusion of variety rather than offering meaningful depth. I bought the game, refunded it, then I played the demo (wrong order I know) and as I was playing the demo again I realized it really does not stratch the itch in my case. Dota Underlords for example, does the same better. Believe it or not.

Fun game. However, it's not worth $20, or even $10, without a replay function.

Its weird. I think I could really love this game, but things just go too fast. Im 38, maybe its my age, but Im a true gamer from when I was young. For example I love Hadean Tactics where you can adjust the speed to even 0.10 and pause whenever. If this game had that, I think I would really be able to enjoy it

Not just an Autobattler where you as the player just watch. There are lots of different units. You are forced to place your units by thinking strategically each turn. There is a nice mechanic where you get recipes to combine two items and make them stronger. It is done in a unique way that I have never seen in a game before.
