Water needs to be boiled to ensure its safe to drink, and raw materials require the proper treatment before creating the tools necessary for survival. Far too hardcore for me, I find it boring having to wander around collecting 100% of the time, balance is wrong and the survival aspect is tedious. And making the anti blight mushroom soup, jeez just let me hit a button not measure out the ingredients manually gram by gram. Mistake to try this until it is balanced.5 found this helpful

I am writing this review after playing 30hrs, A great survival game if you like the Genre, The crafting mechanics are insanely good the effort needed to even get food and water are cool, the combat mechanics needs some work, you only move back/side to dodge, cant craft bow and arrow have to depend on luck for finding it, I guess the devs will improve it soon. the graphics, sound, weather and lighting are cool for a two year old game. the progression is overall good. In short it is a great package for Realistic Survival Genre. A must buy recommendatio from me.1 found this helpful
The biggest problem with this game is lack of marketing. How did I not know it existed until now? I've been chewing up and spitting out survival games for years upon years, and I just found this gem a few days ago. It's not for everyone of course, but for those looking for a hardcore experience it's an absolute delight. This is not one of those mediocre "survival" games where you gather materials, press a button and something magically appears. You can't carry 100 logs in your inventory or jump your way to the roof. You don't spam healing potions and make your HP instantly reappear. Clean your wounds and dress them. Don't forget to change that dressing and properly take care of the wound itself. Chop the tree into individual logs, carry them one at a time or load them onto a cart. Everything takes time and involves multiple steps. You don't press a button and magically make a fire...you add kindling, tinder, fuel (sticks, logs, etc) and then figure out how you're going to light it. Did you find a piece of flint? Great! If not, you're rubbing sticks together, and if it doesn't light you're starting again. And you better hope it doesn't rain. After a couple of hours I started…
