About The Legend of Shiande

This is an RPG made to challenge your mind and push you completely out of your comfort zone. Here, everything is a test. Logic, strategy, patience, decision-making, and much more. If you're a fan of tough challenges, you're in the right place. But if you're looking for something casual… this probably isn't for you. There’s no "easy mode" here. Just determination and a whole lot of "Game Over".    FIGHT HARD...                         RUN...                                          RUN and FIGHT...                                          WILL YOU BE STRONG ENOUGH?

Helpful Tips:

Thinking Monsters: Enemies have AI levels from 1 to 5. Smarter enemies will actually think — hitting your weakest ally, using deadly combos, and bosses with insane tactics. Some fights may feel like chess matches that take hours to win.Bestiary: Here you can catalog all the monsters in the game. Each one has unlock levels: Lv1, Lv2, Lv3, and Lv4. You’ll need to complete side quests to raise their level. The higher the level, the more info you'll unlock. Reaching Lv4 gives you a special reward! No Potions or Revives in Shops: You won’t find healing items in stores. The only way to get them is by exploring and finding them on the maps. Use them wisely!Save System: To save your progress, you’ll need to find a crystal. The first time you touch one, it saves your game and fully heals your party. But be careful it only heals once!Hidden Crystals: There are 19 crystals hidden throughout the game. You can trade them for bonuses like max HP upgrades, money, and even a super rare item: the Save Menu. Find all 19, and something REALLY cool will happen.Save Menu: This item lets you save anytime, anywhere. Use it carefully — it’s extremely rare. In tough puzzles or far from the last crystal, this could save your life. Save it for big moments!Don't Try to Beat It All at Once: Trying to finish the game in one go can be exhausting. I recommend playing one chapter at a time, enjoying the puzzles and challenges without burning out.

Game Story:

The Legend of Shiande tells the story of a humble blacksmith from a quiet village surrounded by deep forests. One day, strange things begin to happen — people and animals start turning into vicious monsters, destroying everything in sight. In the face of this threat, an ancient and powerful wizard chooses Shiande for an impossible mission: to save the world from an unstoppable curse. With only his courage, a hammer, and a strong will to protect what remains, Shiande sets off on a journey that may one day be told as a legend. The Legend of Shiande! (That is… if you can finish it.)

Only God and those who were with me know how much I struggled trying to complete level 1, LEVEL 1 T-T. Literally my mom yelling "SH***T UP ALREADY" (sorry mom), Rodrigo, I just have to tell you that your face is funny Challenging, this game literally says "military mindset" or "good gaming skills," neither of which I possess. Pokémon has never been this difficult. I feel it's worth trying, mistakes aren't allowed, but when the game rewards you, it's a bit... (literally, it called me dunkey) And it's not that expensive either; I feel like it's worth every penny. a very cute game (maybe)

I have to take my hat off, beating the levels gave me a thrill I hadn't felt in a long time.. I really enjoyed the challenges. The game is really frustrating, but pushing through and winning makes it even sweeter.

I died 72 times in 25 minutes. I became so frustrated that I swore a blue streak and spammed insults. Clearly, the designers are fans of old school Nintendo and arcade games. This game is pattern recognition and timing. Despite the frustration, I have to applaud this You have to know exactly what to do, how and when you are going to fail allot, while learning

Bruh... Bruh.. Bruhhhhhhhhh. I don't hate dying again and again and again and AGAIN!!! I HATE THAT B🤬🤬🤬🤬 FOR MAKING ME LISTEN TO HER WHEN I DO... I love this game. It's a solid 3.75/5 for me. I would've rated it 4.5 if not for that specific thing. The dev has basically developed a game which will feel Soulslike but it's mocking your intelligence at the same time. The puzzles are annoying, the mobs are annoying, the B... Ohhhh, don't get me start on her... When the game starts, you'll feel like ohh.. look what a sweet grandma she is... But soon enough, you'll feel like that she's the one you're fighting against... Please, Don't Play this game if you're a "casual gamer". So, who are the perfect demographic for this?? The ones who don't get tilt quickly, The ones who take things personally (like me) And The ones who are looking for challenging games.. Trust me on this.. 😭😭😭

Unfortunately I just cannot recommend this game in good conscience. It's writing really needs work, it's more AI than let on by the developer notes, the writing is a huge let down, the lack of menus in places are just... not good or accessible. I can and likely will update this with a bunch of info later with a breakdown of the experience. But yeah, it's current state it does not feel like a finished product or one curated by a human closely enough.
