About The Monster Breeder
You are in charge of one of the Empire's monster-breeding houses. Your role is to create hybrids intended to bring wealth and fame to their owner through combat in the arena. You have access to a wide array of magical artifacts and potions to transform newborn creatures into formidable fighting beasts. Adult monsters gain experience in the arena, developing inherited abilities or learning new ones. All mammal, reptile, and insect species found within the Empire possess at least one valuable trait. You can launch expeditions in search of new species, though these come with significant risk and financial cost. Crossbred offspring inherit their parents’ physical characteristics and special abilities at random. Their valuable traits can be enhanced with special feed, potions, blood infusions, rune stones, magic scrolls and organ implantation. However, excessive intervention can lead to abomination illness, reducing the creature’s lifespan and rendering it temporarily unfit for combat.Combat in the arena is not always to the death. Non-lethal fights, of course, also pay less. You can hire warriors, archers, and mages to fight alongside your monsters. Each arena is unique and provides certain advantages and disadvantages that must be taken into account. Specialization and the right equipment offer a significant edge in combat. You can hire a blacksmith or an alchemist, so you're not limited to the offerings of local merchants and annual fairs. You can expand your base by constructing new buildings or upgrading existing ones. If you run into financial trouble, you can take out a loan—but the high interest rates could drive you into bankruptcy. You can also undertake quests in hopes of special rewards, though your choices might lead you down a darker path.

Good game, really fun. The only thing that kills the joy is user interface. In a late game, having a litter of 15 creatures requires setting the growth plan for every single one of them, and you loose their stat ranges and have to set up temperature/humidity for every single one of them. Ends up in hundred clicks easily. Feels like work.4 found this helpful
The sheer lack of Tutorial, the rough UI... The slow, akward, and rough combat, The sheer damange difference between Archers and Lack of Damage from Mages.... the sheer lack of any ability to control the climate, and the sheer time wasted in restarting to pick the creatures I wanted only to have them die in the climate I have choosen. The lack of ability to initally have any control over it, and just how unreasonable to whole system feels about it all feels. Not to bloodly well mention the sheer lack of tutorial. I am giving up on this game and its just going to sit in my junk list as I'm not wasting any more time on this game. Tutorial is seriously lacking in this game. Suddenly having all my creatures dying of either cold or it being to dry.... The effects of fear. suddenly have all my monsters running away from convicts that they should be able to slaughter. They need to give solid tool tips ... instead of "Weapon Bonus" what, how, who what? As I had to hear it 10 times before I could even make it out what was being said. Their is still a number of other "Bonus damange annoucements that I have completely missed."1 found this helpful
Great concept. Satisfying gameloop. Decent execution. And has consistent updates. If the preview looks interesting, I think you should give it a shot1 found this helpful

A masterful wet dream for any fans of the RPG, turn based combat, crafting, and creature collecting genre!! This game really has it all. Depth, flair, originality. Even lore. The quest system is pretty much perfect. It doesn't get in the way of you trying to do your thing as a monster breeder, but they are there for the doing if you want to. And they are good! I can't even begin to explain how good this is, honestly a review doesn't even do it justice. There's a new tournament every month, and they are all held annually. They have their own different styles, flair, challenges, and a PLETHORA of different arenas and battle types. The default monsters in the game are extremely plentiful and unique. They all have different stats, resistances, unique skills, etc etc. It's up to you to steal eggs or children from their nest, or just buy eggs, juveniles, or adult creatures to add them to your collection and breed them You can craft an insane amount of things, from armor to potions, to weapons and etc etc. The monsters that you can breed pretty much offer you complete creative freedom. I can't even really do this game justice by describing how MUCH freedom you ha…1 found this helpful
