Too confusing for beginners.

Absolutely not it. The game feels like the section of 'that one backrooms game' that you disliked the most. Clearly inspired by the TV show 'Severance', the game only manages to convey one of the feelings present in the show, desperate confinement. If you didn't know what it felt like to be unreasonably trapped with nothing to do and no reason to do it, give this game a spin.

Fun game. Cool level design, spooky levels that change over time. Lots of landscapes and things to collect. Short but replayable.

THE OFFICE ROOMS is a short first-person exploration experience that transforms an ordinary corporate workplace into an increasingly surreal and uncomfortable labyrinth. Developed and published by Lowkey GameDev, it focuses on liminal-space exploration, psychological unease, environmental storytelling, and mystery rather than traditional combat. Its strongest idea is the contrast between the familiar monotony of office life and an abandoned productivity facility whose rooms and systems no longer obey normal rules. The player assumes the role of someone tasked with investigating anomalies that remain inside the facility. These are not simply misplaced objects or cosmetic abnormalities. They are strange rooms with individual visual identities and behaviors, effectively functioning as small mysteries within the larger environment. Discovering them provides a clear purpose for exploration while allowing the game to continually introduce unusual locations. The concept works particularly well because an office is normally associated with order and predictability, so seeing its architecture behave impossibly immediately creates unease. Between the constant talk about productivity, and the feelings of being lost and somewhat helpless, this really encapsulated the vibe of working retail. The gameplay loop of entering an anomaly and leaving is very easy, leaving you just lost enough whilst coming and going through anomalies to properly give you a backrooms/liminal space like feeling. For a walking simulator with lore, it's probably one of the best I've gotten to experience. Highly recommend for backrooms/ liminal space game enjoyers!
