Voidtrain

A chill linear survival game, story isn't anything to write home about, but the game has a lot of charm and building up your train with a bunch of cosmetics is fun. Beaten the game solo. Was a good 30 hours.

Bought this game for a friend and myself. We were playing together in multiplayer until his mouse got locked and he couldn't interact with anything. Upon leaving then attempting to rejoin, he gets an infinite loading screen. We have tried everything to no avail, but the save appears to be dead. Not worth restarting.

Good mechanics, lots of customisability whether you want chill survival or hardcore, this customisation goes down to just engaging with the speed and build of the train too, as well as in the game world settings. So plenty to offer on that front. Lots of research options, they're not cheap either so you can get into the grind if you want to. Both in terms of aethestics and customisation and mechanical upgrade, there's plenty to strive for. The void itself feels fresh and alien, and the tethering and swimming mechanics feel good as you navigate the track. This eventually opens up even further which was a surprising bonus too. Gunplay is pretty standard but the animations for reloading and jamming are nicely done. There's no schmoovement to speak of but I think that fits the overall pacing of the game. It runs surprisingly brilliantly for me, considering the amount of garbage you can have on board that's no small feat. So overall a solid thumbs up from me. Haven't had the option to try it in multiplayer yet, so I can't speak to how it handles itself there, but with most things adding friends just makes it better.

it's a simple cozy loot game with action and puzzle's throughout. you keep building your train and learn new things by every upgrade. it's easy to play and not a full toturial needed. it's amazing and fun to play with friends

I could've sworn I gave this game a negative review already. Huh. Well, I've played through this with a friend, we've both owned it for years, and honestly it just feels disappointing and boring after a little bit.
