Honestly, the best part was the soundtrack it’s amazing that this is free. Overall, it’s a solid point and click experience a bit on the short side, but thoroughly enjoyable.8 found this helpful
"The Sinking of the Dream Chaser" is a short and somewhat poorly written more-book-than-game point and click adventure slapped together with Unity (but it might as well have been done with Adventure Game Studio). The mediocre plot follows a robot with amnesia and you have to work out what happened and where your master is. Okay. Unfortunately the technical delivery here is very poor and that lead to this being a failure on Steam Direct. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's wort…1 found this helpful
But did he make it to the moon? 🥺
Shot, sweet, easy... I liked it a lot. And it's free so just play it :)
Lovely short game with hand-drawn artwork, took about 30 mins to finish, completely free. Looking forward to see if the story continues.
It’s free and short, but I can’t recommend it. The gameplay lasts around 20–25 minutes and is entirely linear. The story starts off somewhat interesting, but the ending feels rushed. The art is also inconsistent: the characters are done in great pixel art, but the backgrounds use a different style, and the pickable items yet another, making the overall immersion suffer.
