About The.Thend.End

You really want to know more? Ok, alright, fine.
It's a story where you play as a guy who goes to a psychologist to deal with his problems. But then suddenly, out of nowhere, completely unexpectedly... very interesting things happen and adventure begins!
Gameplay mostly includes decision making and riddles. It's a visual novel after all, so what do you expect? Action gameplay? Maybe a little bit.

That's all. Thank you and have a good day.

Yeah, I can into gifs.

I purchased this game and did not expect very much of it. I was pleasantly surprised that even at a fast pace that I played it at, I could still enjoy it in its full capacity. The game has some technical quirks, but they are easily overshadowed by excellent storytelling, a unique art style, and the sheer wit of this developer. Overall, I would summarize the pace of this game as relatively slow, even though there is nothing stopping you from running through it head first. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fairly unique story and setting. The game instantly drags you in and keeps immersed until the very end. A great pick for this price, especially since it launched with a 40% discount.

The first few minutes seem interesting, but the writing becomes an incomprehensible fever dream before long, not helped by the fact that the dialogue feels like it was written or translated by a non-native speaker. I did encounter dialogue options that appeared completely untranslated, but this could have been part of the game- again it is quite bizarre. I really have no idea what most of the story was even supposed to be about. The visuals and some of the concepts are creative, but that doesn't make a good or complete game. Perhaps it works better in the native language. I don't feel like the game should be purchased in English in its current incomplete state.

TL;DR : The.Thend.End is a bizarre journey. Not for everybody, but worth experiencing if you're curious. Trigger Warning: This game isn't very graphic but does deal with serious topics such as self-harm and suicide. The.Thend.End is one of the stranger games I've played. I was never sure if the game was being serious or just having a laugh at my expense. I usually like to give a synopsis of the story in these reviews but I think it would be a disservice to say anything more than what the developer has already said. The art style is kinda strange but I guess that fits with the game. This isn't really a game I "enjoyed" playing, but it stuck with me in a way that's hard to explain. It makes me feel ways about things. Considering how cheap it is, I'd say it's worth trying for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siWgQ7DwmB8

It took me 2 long hours to finish. I got this game from one of the giveaways. Didn't play in english but polish version has a lot of grammar mistakes. The choices (even if it was the intention of the author) are not satisfying, not even one. They are not funny either- subjectively of course. There are plenty of people who'd like this kind of humour. Maybe. Imho, could be better. Someone down there wrote a comment that says you have to think hard on the puzzles. What puzzles? This one mashclicking puzzle? When I first saw this game I thought it will be more satisfying travel through complex choices and misterious story. Story was misterious. Plot was not that bad, but this choices... even if i wanted to choose something else- i couldn't (maybe that's my fault and there are some triggers on the beginning that matters, but I have no no desire to replay it). Do I recommend to play it? For those who like this type of visualnovellike games and have to spare some 2 hours- go ahead, it's cheap so no lose here for you. PS: There was one choice that i liked- walking is fun.

You gotta think hard on the puzzle(s?). Like literally, think. THINK. A LOT. You'll know what I mean.
