✦ AI summary
Players praise The Touryst's charming aesthetics, relaxed exploration-focused design, and thoughtful world-building that encourages curiosity and experimentation across its islands. However, many criticize frustrating gameplay elements including broken platforming mechanics due to poor camera controls, unfair level design with punishing difficulty spikes (particularly in certain monuments), and problematic collision systems that detract from the otherwise pleasant experience.
Art of Balance mentioned!!! Speaking of Art of Balance, as the (only?) biggest Art of Balance enjoyer, it would be awesome if Art of Balance was brought to here onto Steam! I speak for everyone that has played Art of Balance with me when I say the world needs more Art of Balance. This is no longer The Touryst review, this is now a protest to bring Art of Balance onto Steam. Give me Art of Balance for Steam or give me death!1 found this helpful

Simple but cute game, not anything special but fun to complete while watching a show or something. I liked filling out the photo gallery the most.

Exploration lies at the heart of the game’s design. Each island in the archipelago is compact yet densely packed with things to do, from chatting with quirky locals to uncovering hidden pathways and secret areas. Progression is tied to monuments scattered across the islands, which function as puzzle-focused dungeons that test spatial reasoning and logic rather than reflexes. These monuments are carefully paced, starting with accessible concepts and gradually layering more complex mechanics as new abilities—such as sprinting or double j…
