About The Witch's Cauldron
The Witch's Cauldron – a medieval witch simulator from the young indie team Harvey Games. You’ll practice your craft in a town where good rumors spread just as fast as bad ones, with the latter quickly reaching the ears of inquisitors. Balancing your popularity among townsfolk and the inquisitors’ growing attention is essential for survival here. And if your witch’s intuition tells you the end is near, you can always find refuge in another town—there are plenty nearby.
But that’s for the future. For now, bards, vampires, innkeepers, and even the king himself come to pay their respects! Fulfill their requests, brew potions, but remember: every good or evil deed will bring inevitable consequences.
- Over 60 unique characters, each with their own story and multiple playthrough options;
- A vast array of potions, each capable of leading to a unique story outcome;
- A variety of witch skins that unlock unique quests, present challenges, and subtly alter gameplay;
- 6 main story endings that affect not only your life but also the entire kingdom;
- Numerous nighttime events reflecting the outcomes of your choices;
- High replayability, allowing you to explore the world, uncover the witch’s past, and understand the kingdom’s morals.
Each day, locals will visit you. Some come seeking healing, others out of curiosity, and some with a desire to engage in darker deeds. Their fates are in your hands—it’s up to you to decide how to handle them.
With your choice of potions, you influence the course of events. However, only a few basic potions are available from the start; you’ll need to unlock new and more complex ones by mixing ingredients or obtaining recipes and hints from NPCs.
Unlocked potions, no matter how each story ends, will carry over to your next life cycle. The abundance of potions and story twists allows for a highly variable playthrough experience. Some endings, potions, and game mechanics will only be available after completing the main story once or reaching certain game events that conclude the story.

It's cute and it's cheap. Other than that, a bit underwhelming. The first hour or so of the game you spend unlocking every combination of the ingredients. The game is helpful in providing a list of all combinations you can try and tracking what you did. After that the game is a full-time text adventure with dozens of plot lines you can interact with by throwing potions at people. Completing a line gets you an achievement. Not very interesting, and not a lot of tracking of what's connected to what. At the same time you try to balance two scales where some radom events can really mess you up. You kinda just keep replaying and trying randomly or consult some guides. Not horrible, but nothing I could recommend either.2 found this helpful
Fun and chill game with some thought through additional underplot. Engaging, artistic and simple.1 found this helpful
The Witch’s Cauldron, developed and published by Harvey games, is an indie narrative-driven roguelike that places choice, reputation, and consequence at the heart of its design. You step into the role of a witch living on the edge of society, operating from a modest cauldron and slowly weaving your influence through a medieval world shaped by superstition, fear, and quiet desperation. Rather than focusing on combat or spectacle, the game builds its identity around social tension and moral ambiguity, asking players to carefully consider how every potion brewed and every favor granted will echo through the surrounding community. At the core of the experience is a steady flow of townsfolk who arrive with personal problems, secret desires, and questionable requests. These encounters form the backbone of the game’s narrative, with each decision nudging your reputation in different directions. Helping too generously can build trust and fame, while darker solutions may spread fear and suspicion. The game constantly tracks how the world perceives you, creating a fragile balance between being a helpful local legend and a dangerous outcast. This tension ensures that even seemingly small cho…1 found this helpful
I was really disappointed by how little there was to the game. It's incredibly repetitive and there's not a lot to it. It's hard to even follow the stories of the villagers to know what your decisions do.
ii don't know what I expected, but this is incredibly boring. Potioncraft is so much better. This has nice art, but the gameplay is putting me to sleep.
Didn't like the game. Feels like it lacks purpose.
