The game was rather enjoyable, having completed it fully. Let's start with the gameplay. It's very basic in it's loop. You gather things, craft those materials up, and then gather more. The rest is mostly fetch quests involving the loop. previously stated. It is admittedly the weakest part of the game even if it the major thing. Onto Graphics/Aesthetics. The graphics while simple are great for the aesthetics. The world is beautiful and full of things to see and do. The characters are all vibrant and colorful. You can tell what each thing is easily, although somethings do get obscured behind other things. For the story and characters, as mentioned, the characters are vibrant, but they are full of life and entertaining. It's where things shine. I found the characters to be enjoyable, interacting with them, and would have loved to see the portraits after completing the quests. The story was fun as well, seeing how it all unfolded. I loved seeing the outcomes for each of the villains. I was also quite satisfied with the ending of the game, feeling it wrapped up nicely. Lastly, the music and sound. It was pleasant to listen to. Each location was befitting the place. The sou…1 found this helpful
Short playthrough, I would love to have a similar/"sequel" game! I finished within 17 hours. The plot, dialogue/writing, animation, and game mechanics were all incredible in my opinion. I had a blast with this one, would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves a whimsical puzzle and strategy game! Plus the MC's sassy vibes were just perfect, 10/10 character.1 found this helpful
This is a fun little game. It took me 11 hours to fully complete it, and it was charming.
It's okay, if you just want to turn you brain off for a few hours and do some fetch quests among pretty imagery. I played it until the end out of principle, but after the first four quests, everything becomes repetitive, and there are no new mechanics and challenges. The story is nothing special, the characters are not really engaging, and the ending is exactly what you expect it to be (and the implementation was surprisingly underwhelming, with no sense of accomplishment after you finally complete all quests). If the game is on discount or you just want a nice cozy game -- sure, buy it. But don't expect much from it.
So far I love this game - very engaging and fun play, quite addictive. Very collecting and exploring focused which is very enjoyable and the soul collection quests are fun and different
This game is a charming fairy tale for adults. There’s lots of collecting and moving between locations to complete quests, becoming a little more complex as you work your way through the story. At times, it felt a little repetitive but gathering all the components and crafting what you need is very satisfying. Wytchwood has a good soul and is a delight to play.
