The You Quiz is a social party game created by indie developer Hazard Wizard that takes the familiar structure of quiz games and turns it into something far more personal and unpredictable. Rather than testing players on trivia knowledge or factual questions, the game revolves entirely around understanding the personalities, habits, and sense of humor of the people you are playing with. The result is a multiplayer experience that feels closer to a social experiment than a traditional quiz show, where the real challenge lies not in knowing the right answer but in guessing how your friends think. Built for groups and designed to spark conversation, the game thrives on humor, insight, and the unique dynamics that emerge when players try to outguess one another. The basic concept of the game centers around a rotating role system that places one player in a position of authority each round. This player takes on the role of the “King,” while the rest of the participants become Courtiers competing for favor. The Courtiers are presented with a prompt—often humorous, strange, or hypothetical—and must submit answers based on what they believe the King would say, prefer, or find most enterta…

This game is a ton of fun! Simple concept with a great execution. I highly recommend enabling the "HATE" button in the settings, that really makes for some funny moments. I got this on sale but I would have paid full price. There are few multiplayer games of this nature that I can safely say I'd play again, but this is definitely one of them!

Pretty simple game, it's fun though, and only one person having to purchase it is a big bonus. I believe they also added steam workshop questions into the game recently which I'm sure will increase it's replayability.

I played two rounds of this game with a group of 8 friends at one of our regular meetups, and it fell flat hard. I'm a fan of Trivia Tricks, and the premise of the game sounded really fun. Sort of like Fibbage about you, from jackbox, but focused on one person at a time. It's not that at all though. The game format is just not fun, and doesn't leave room for creativity, at least from what I played. You basically get some basic questions, like do they prefer cats or dogs. There isn't much room to answer creatively, and even if there was, people are too busy answering their own questions to even read what others answered since it's all real time and goes by quick. Then, even worse, if the king rejects your answer you just get the same question back to answer again, picking the other option this time I suppose. Like, maybe we missed something about the game, but it just wasn't fun. Just answering a bunch of simple questions, and no room for creativity or to make your friends laugh. I saw in one of the updates they added an option to show accepted answers. I didn't even realize some of the answers weren't shown. That shows you how much they thought people would give funny answers to …

Bought this to play with my students. I'll update my review when I have a chance to play. EDIT: So I played with a few people, and while a lobby of 4 is fun it seems like a bigger group could be even more chaotic and fun. Seems worth the full price, as long as you can assemble a bunch of people to play. So far, I've tested it with a few of my own devices, seems very easy to pick up. I didn't want to install Steam on the classroom computer, but I found Gamenative on github which allows me to install Steam games on Android with a Wine layer (I think) in between.
