Don't swipe - type! Improve your typing speed with this endless runner game.
In the 2010s the world went crazy for mobile endless runner games like Subway Surfers and Temple Run in which you swipe your away around obstacles and try to see how far you can make it before crashing. Timmy Types is a creative twist on the genre in that you type words to navigate your environment.
The only interesting typing game I've found on Steam is Typing of The Dead: Overkill. The game is a great arcade experience that you navigate using your keyboard instead of a gun, and I really want to play other similar games. Unfortunately Typing of the Dead isn't really suitable for kids and there aren't really any other comparable games out there.
And this is why Timmy Types was created. It is our first experiment in developing a fun family-friendly typing game.

"Timmy Types" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is an extraordinarily bad Unreal asset flip, a bunch of stock assets and a basic endless runner blueprint, but it's supposed to be a typing tutorial... thus, moving to the left or right to position yourself to avoid endless runner obstacles involves choosing the word that appears to the left or right of you then typing that word. As a typing tutorial this is awful, doesn't supply metrics or teach touch typing technique, it just wants words typed out. As a game... it's a godawfully bad joke. This isn't making typing tutorials better, it's just making gaming worse. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Mr. MELVYN Doo, your game is a worthy attempt at a n educational typing game, A for afford. But, this game sucks, typing is lame and for losers who are going to turn into pencil necked dweebs balding in their 20s working at a sheet metal shop. 1 out of 10.
