Preventing the overthrow of the current authorities and getting to the capital, Luis receives a task from the king to find fugitive participants in the failed coup.

This takes place just after the first volume. Having thwarted the coup attempt, Louis is ordered to deal with any conspirators who have gotten away. He is introduced to three companions to assist with this task. What unfolds is a series of adventures that bring you up against many fell beasts and grave evils. Decent plot.
