"Towards The Pantheon: Escaping Eternity" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called ""Towards The Pantheon"". "Towards The Pantheon" is a rather low quality 2D retro pixel JRPG (ugh) fan-fiction that looks almost certainly to have been slapped together with a construction kit like RPG Maker. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not "Towards The Pantheon", it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Towards The Pantheon: Escaping Eternity" too. The intention of this advertisement was to try to get people to shell out an eye watering fifteen bucks for the disastrous pixelcrap fanfiction that was "Towards the Pantheon", but almost nobody did (because it's garbage and no pixelcrap is worth fifteen bucks). Very short story, was fun to get through. Simple puzzles but worth the half hour it takes to play the game.

Great vibe and atmosphere, I spent a fun hour or so completing it and then went back for a second run to get a couple of things I missed. Loved the environmental storytelling and puzzles. Just downloaded Towards the Pantheon (which is free!) and can't wait to get started.
