This is so fun and really takes me back to being a kid and playing choose your adventure novels. Also very reminiscent of dnd one shots which rules. Gives the fun of a simple rogue like without the complexity of many rogue likes which often drives me away from them. This is a game I’ll return to play when I want a thirty minute game of solo dnd.3 found this helpful
If you like the good ol' Fighting Fantasy Classic books, you'll like this game. It's a dungeon crawler, in which you choose different characters and climb a tower that has different rooms, events and enemies each time you play, to defeat the boss: the Ice Lich at the top of the tower. Step right in and let the luck of the dice decides your fate!2 found this helpful
The gameplay is simple but captivating. Its straightforward, choose-your-own-adventure-style roleplaying framework is what draws me in, along with the retro atmosphere, which takes me back in a really cool way. I enjoy its playful and humorous descriptions filled with classic roleplaying tropes. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is quite endearing. However, I personally prefer to be fully immersed in a world or fantasy, and the "not taking itself to seriously" vibe is kind of beaking the fourth-wall for me at moments, which pull me out of that immersion. This makes me hope for a future game with more serious world-building. It’s a small yet engaging game, and I’m tempted to beat the tower with other characters to see if the endings differ.2 found this helpful
Excellent story-heavy rogue lite game with surprising depth and alot of well written text and lore. Works great on the Steamdeck.
A little, fun game. Not very long and not very hard but highly recommended.
LET'S GO GAMBLING!!! *rolls two ones* OH DAMN IT! *dies*
