About Towers Together: Beginnings
DISCLAIMER: Hey there! Welcome to the first version of 'Towers Together' - we're so excited to have you here! We want to be upfront with you - this version may have some bugs and balance issues, but don't worry, we're working on improving the game every day. We'd love to hear from you too! If you run into any issues or have any feedback to share, join our social medias and help us create the best game possible. Let's work together to make 'Towers Together' an epic adventure!
Towers Together - the title already gives you a hint, doesn't it? That's right, our game is all about towers and playing together. Only teamwork lets you stand against the hordes of goblins, trolls and other hideous creatures. The Book of Knowledge calls for your protection from oncoming armies of enemies! Be prepared for anything, terrible goblins and trolls only waiting for your mistake. And of course who would resist throwing some dynamite at them for their dirty deals!
Our co-op multiplayer game is based on the classic tower defense mechanics combined with a card system. Your team has to protect the Book of Knowledge from the invasion of evil creatures coming wave after wave. How? Build towers, place traps, cast spells or greet your enemies with a hail of arrows. Your actions depend on your and your friends’ cards. Create strategies, experiment and adapt!
At the beginning of the game you connect to friend's lobby or starting game solo from your own lobby. Maximum players amount per each lobby is four. If you playing with a friend (maybe even with a several ones), try to plan your next moves together to overcome your opponents. Sometimes lack of communication and joint strategy can lead to lost game.
In this game, you get to earn gold each turn, which you can then use to buy cards from the shop. At first, you'll only have access to weaker cards like "crossbow" or "lightbulb". But don't worry, as you progress through the game, you'll have the chance to upgrade your shop and acquire more powerful cards. Just keep in mind that this may require additional investments of gold.
Remember, your choices on how to spend your resources can have a big impact on your success in the game. So, choose wisely and have fun playing!
Any game action requires playing a card. Each player starts with one card in his hand at the very start of the game. Different types of cards allow to perform different actions. For instance: place building, cast aoe spell against enemies or summon huge snowstorm on the whole map. If you run out of cards, you can buy them in the shop with money, earned after every succesfully repelled enemy wave, or for selling buildings on the map. Thus, "recycling" weak buildings is a very lucrative business.

"Towers Together: Beginnings" is is not a game. It's an advertisement disguised as a full game, and you're expected to go pay for "Towers Together" after seeing this advert for it (except they didn't make "Towers Together" into a full game and probably never will). This is misleading, a shady way to market a for-profit product, and misleading gamers for profit is wrong. The product this is advertising,Towers Together is an ill-conceived attempt to shoehorn multiplayer into a game genre that doesn't need it... tower defense. And it failed... not least because of the sheer amount of bugs and really poor looking low poly asset flipped looking game assets.... But this isn't Towers Together: Beginnings, it's just an ad for it. If you really like adverts, you can get them for free on Youtube, in your browser... heck even online streaming video subscriptions have ads now. Why download and install another advertisement? Instead of following the Official Steamworks Process For Demos, the developer decided to pollute Steam with for-profit advertising. Whether this is deliberate and malicious, or …
Not too bad a game, definitely needs more tweeking. It could use a speed up button because it feels like it takes forever for the monsters to get through the track. Also, if you can buy it, you should be able to place it. Its unproductive to have the gold, have the tower but you can't place it? That really sucks the fun out the game. Needs more work. i recommend this only if you want to get frustrated
Towers Together really lacks certain elements to attract players. There is a lag problem, the game runs slowly and crashes. There isn't a decent tutorial. The CGI units are designed badly. Finally, Towers Together is unprepared for releasing on Steam nor at least average player experience.
This is a free game, so I have set the bar pretty low, but I am enjoying myself. It is a very basic tower defense game, with a nice look, interesting rules, an interesting variety of units. I think it has about seven map? That said, it is very features light. Most noticeable is the manual which is mentioned as being written, but never added. There are no tower upgades that I can find, and a strict limit to how many towers you can build. As the game progresses however, you can upgrade the store and sell off the earlier towers, which I guess is part of the core game play. There are some tactical actions, which I love, in that certain towers give you drop-attacks, dynamite, hail of arrows, etc. There are no strategic upgrades though, which is sad. I at least expected some basic card collection system. A layer of fluff would also have been nice. For those who care, no pathing. That said, really polished stub of a game, some people charge money for less, sadly, free is where it belongs in it's current state, but at that price it is top notch, and clearly had potential. Two thumbs up. NOTE: If possible, it would be nice to have an assortment of the supporter pack DLC, I would proba…
Started the game with low expectations. But, it was pretty fun. Played with my brother and finished the whole thing quickly. Recommended for anyone trying to enjoy some stress free games. The game could use some tutorials about how the elements interact with each other. But, isn't punishing when you are trying to figure things out. So, it's ok I guess.
RNG can and will kick you in the balls and you cant stop it, you just have to pray it gives you a bone once in a while or youll never win. wish you could have some kind of percent progression. maybe even the ability to change out for different cards instead of having the same cards the whole game. still beat the whole thing in 4 hours though, but after that not much left unless you wanna devote the rest of your life to RNJesus to get all 3 stars.
