About Towers Deck

Towers Deck is a roguelike tower defense deck building game. Buying cards, using them to destroy enemy waves, researching new technologies - all leads to one goal - protect the castle at all costs.

Pick Your Heroes

Each run you will combine two heroes to synergize their deck powers and find new strategies. Each hero comes with its individual cards, technology tree and game starting stats. Combine the two heroes and find the best way to utilize their abilities.

Research New Technologies

You will have the choice in which field to improve. Will you choose to further develop your character's abilities? Or start a new technology path to improve? All new research contributes to your gameplay - you can get more coins, new cards, more castle health and many others.

Prepare For Battle

After drawing cards it is time for preparations. Use your cards to get more coins or mana, build towers, use spells to enhance tower abilities or impact enemies' paths.

Expand Your Map

Begin your turn by expanding land. Each game you will create a completely different map. Each land expansion may come with a variety of different terrain, on which your towers will get different bonuses. You can get more damage, attack speed or range depending on where you choose to place your tower.

Upgrade Your Deck

Buy new cards - each card has charges, after using it corresponding number of times it will be destroyed, so your deck will evolve through the run. Plan and buy accordingly, improve your deck and use the best card combinations to survive the longest.

No. While the game had foundations for a fine card-based tower defense, it was abandoned before reaching that point. It has numerous bugs, including frustrating, run-affecting ones; balance issues prevent toying with many strategies offered by cards; and the meta-progression system's main function seems to be stretching the limited content infinitesimally thin by arbitrary gatekeeping. The fact that the main menu asks you to sign up to a newsletter to unlock a card does not help the already bad impression. Not worth the price. Worse than other similar titles.

Towers Deck is a compact roguelike strategy game that merges deckbuilding mechanics with tower defense gameplay in a way that feels both accessible and surprisingly tactical. Developed and published by ThinKING Cat Games, the title focuses on building efficient defensive setups through card management, resource control, and careful battlefield planning. While the game clearly takes inspiration from popular roguelike deckbuilders, it succeeds by keeping its systems streamlined and mechanically focused instead of overwhelming players with unnecessary complexity. The result is an indie strategy experience built around experimentation, optimization, and replayability rather than flashy presentation or large-scale storytelling. The gameplay centers around defending against waves of enemies using cards that summon towers, activate attacks, deploy traps, and provide support abilities. Every encounter forces players to balance limited resources while constructing defensive systems capable of surviving increasingly dangerous enemy assaults. The combination of tower defense structure and deckbuilding progression works remarkably well because both mechanics naturally support each other. Inst…
