Trash Panda: The Adventures of Ricky and Boxman

"Trash Panda: The Adventures of Ricky and Boxman" is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel-esque platformers infesting Steam and slightly worsening the average quality of all video games everywhere just by existing. In this case there's a gimmick where "boxman" allows you to jump further. That's it. Gameplay is the same as or slightly worse than all other 2D platformers, run, jump, shoot (throw junk)... there's nothing compelling or interesting here. Super Mario Bros had deeper, more involved gameplay. This features really godawful pixelcrap/MS-Paint "art" instead of real graphics. It looks laughably bad. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Certainly an entertaining 15 minutes. I do have an issue with the shooting mechanic not working the first half of the game though.

Better game than what Battlenet has been putting out. 10/10 would recommend. This game takes skill, so if you're a gamer you will fall in love with this game. The story line connected with me, I love raccoons! Could not complete the game without my best friend boxman! He really helped in tough situations. I am looking forward to Trash Panda 2 sequel. I would recommend adding some heals to the game, like eating apples for health.
