Ransack Raccoon

I'll give it a positive review just because it seems like the devs aren't that experienced, so it's impressive they could make a game that even works. but in terms of whether or not I actually recommend it... I don't. it's not a bad game, there are simply way better games out there.

Really fun ‘cosy’ gaming, with an interesting premise. You’re a raccoon, aiming to ransack and steal high-end clothing items to sell secondhand to buy food for your raccoon babies. Or lead a life of lavish luxury in the fast lane. Who can tell? While this game is ‘free’, be prepared to rack up some time playing it. I ran mine on my SteamDeck, and worked great.

A charming little puzzle game featuring a cute pink raccoon—though it looks more like a pink red panda (pink panda?). You're on a quirky mission to sneak through a mall collecting jewelry and clothes, all while dodging security lasers. The gameplay is simple, short, and very family-friendly—perfect for casual players of all ages. The main challenge is avoiding the lasers without getting caught, but with three lives to experiment, it never feels frustrating. The raccoon's goofy, adorable movements add so much personality—I caught myself laughing more than once. Worth a quick play if you're into light-hearted stealth puzzles.

Took me 12 minutes to beat. I'm sorry but there isn't really a reason to play this game. It's not horrible, but it's not good either. You just pick up stuff and sometimes some lights move or turn on and off. That's it. :\

I hope I'm not alone in being somewhat unsettled by the raccoon's eyes on the title page. With that said, I was hoping he was going to get to be a little evil and creepy and opulent, but it turns out to be a rather bland heist without even a snack aisle to raid. If I had just one more button then all would have been well. Perhaps even some kind of affliction that certain items give; the crown mixes up my controls as I put it over my head and it covers my eyes, the pants make me take weird long steps as I try to walk in them, rings slow me down, you get the idea. The game is a classic affair of Nerve gameplay to evoke a stealthy situation. A common and effective risk-reward for such a system is speeds of movement, where moving faster trades off security, usually by way of silence, but in this case perhaps it could tamper with the predictability of the spotlights, i.e. the faster you try to go, the more erratically they move and flicker. Manbiki Shounen with more graphics...Does that make it better? Yeah, sure! But I want more. What you also basically have is the flash game called The World's Hardest Game.
