About Twelves:Shadow
Background story:At the beginning of time, when heaven and earth split apart, the pure essence rose to form the sky, while the heavy essence sank to become the earth.Mount Buzhou stood tall like a massive pillar, connecting the heavens above and the deep abyss below, supporting all life in between. One day, disaster struck suddenly. The balance between purity and heaviness was disrupted, and the mountain began to collapse. In this moment of crisis, the Twelve Spirit Forms sacrificed their souls to act as pillars, preventing the great mountain from falling. But over time, the heavy essence that had formed the "Shadow Erosion" began to secretly turn against its creators…The blindly devout clung to promises long forgotten,The lost and vengeful burned with rage for enemies that no longer existed,And those who sought to outwit fate found themselves trapped in an endless cycle of their own making…You awaken from nothingness, nameless and formless, armed with only a single sword.Deep within your mind, a faint voice whispers:"Destroy the corrupted forms and reunite the power of the Twelve Spirit Forms—this is the only way to save the world."But the real truth behind it all remains unclear…Core Gameplay1. Shadow Shard System and Shadow InvocationShadow Shard Absorption:In the game, each Boss leaves behind a "Shadow Shard" upon defeat, symbolizing their obsession and power. When you defeat a Boss, its Shadow Shard merges with your soul. By activating these shards, you gain entirely new abilities, adding more depth to your combat arsenal.Shadow Invocation Spells:During battles, you can use Shadow Strike attacks to steal spirit cores from Bosses, allowing you to unleash powerful Shadow Invocation spells. These spells not only deal massive damage but also have the potential to turn the tide of battle in critical moments. If you activate the corresponding Shadow Shard of the fallen Boss, the power of the Shadow Invocation is greatly enhanced, giving you an edge in combat.Combo Awakening:By combining multiple Shadow Shards, you unlock even more powerful combo skills. Different shard combinations produce vastly different effects, encouraging players to experiment with diverse combat strategies and discover their own unique fighting style.2. Boss Battle Design12 Epic Boss Battles:Each Boss features unique move sets and multi-stage transformations, creating intense and layered combat experiences with a fast-paced rhythm.Observe-Counter-Attack:Every battle is like a dynamic chess match, where you must quickly analyze the enemy’s behavior patterns, find ways to counter them, and react within moments to turn the tables in your favor.3. Story and ExplorationEchoes of the Shadow:After absorbing a Boss's Shadow Shard, their Echoes of the Shadow will appear in your world. These echoes are like fragments of their souls, carrying the obsessions and inner secrets of each Boss. By interacting with these echoes, you will gradually uncover their stories and piece together the truth of the world, ultimately confronting the deeper mysteries hidden behind the cycle of fate.

This seems like a button mashing game to me. My wrist hurts after playing 1 hour. This game doesn't seems to let you really immerse in the fight battle because you will be focusing on spam clicking the mouse and getting distracted in the W-S-A-D on the screen to execute the combo. While I don't mind this is a boss-rush game, I don't particular enjoy the battle because it seems to be more parry-focused instead of attack-focused, coupled with all the distractions I mentioned. Kind of disappointed, the trailer advertised the game good, but the actual gameplay is not enjoyable. - PC gamer on keyboard and mouse.6 found this helpful
I quite like it, though to be frank optimization needs to be improved. I have no clue what's going on under the hood but my desktop meets the recommended settings and on the default graphics settings the game straight up chugs at really inopportune times like the parry QTEs to the point I failed the mashing one with the tiger boss during multiple attempts since my inputs were dropping. Turning down the lighting and render settings really helps (albeit it still struggles to keep a consistent framerate) but it's a shame when so much of this game is about the visual designs and set pieces since they're absolutely lovely, and having to miss out on them during fights because the game can't handle rendering anything going on in the background let alone up close really blows. I'm about a third of the way through and it's a soft yes if you're looking for some all-boss battle Sekiro parry-fest gameplay made by a very very small indie studio with the jank that those words inevitably have attached to it, but with the caveat that you're going to have to really experiment with the graphical settings unless you want an especially frustrating time.6 found this helpful
the button mash QTE works 10% of the time, making battles unfair. alot of bugs, this game is simple but fun but needs major patches to make it playable4 found this helpful

Good game
great game but needs bug fixes for controller, keyboard and mouse. controller needs to add sensitivity settings because it takes forever to turn around when using controller. auto target often steers away from the target.
