About Type Fighter

Run as far as you can by typing words to jump, fling arrows, slide and swing your sword. The more correct words you type the faster you run and the more complex the words get.

- Jump pits and crates.
- Shoot monsters with your bow and arrow.
- Slide under rocks and pillars.
- Crush monsters and crates with your sword.

It's game over if you get hit by a rock or fireball. It's also game over if you fall in a pit or stand still for too long. Don't stop. Don't Die.

Type Fighter is a unique typing-based runner with creative mechanics and challenging gameplay that some players enjoy, but it suffers from significant design flaws that undermine the experience. The main issues are that obstacles and enemies spawn too close together, leaving insufficient time to read and type the required words even for fast typists, and visibility problems make it hard to see the word prompts against certain backgrounds. Players appreciate the rare typing game concept and difficulty, but many feel deaths are often unavoidable rather than skill-based, leading to frustration an

Type Fighter looked fun for the price but has some game breaking issues. I'm sad to refund this. Sometimes you're given a word like "canter" as the jump word and "roll" is the roll word. Let's say you need to jump, not roll, but when I finish typing "C-a-n-t-e-" --then "r" the game thinks I'm trying to type "r"oll. Now you can't do either and fall down the pit. The spider also likes to spawn near gaps so I'll jump over a gap and with my 95-WPM typing speed I can't type the next jump word fast enough. BAM--the spider gets me.

**EDIT: I saw the review from 2019 saying the typing is buggy by overlapping with other words you could type, and I've never experienced this bug on any of the computers I've played this on. I'm pretty confident that this bug must have been fixed before I started playing. Super hard but fun 2D-sprite infinite runner game where you're typing to kill fireball wizards, jump over armored spiders, piercing flying birds with arrows that are dropping rocks on your head, rolling under stone walls, and leaping over bottomless pits. You get 4 words at a time to choose from. Typing one word will make you jump, another will make you shoot an arrow, another will make you swing your sword, and another will make you roll. The further you go before inevitably dying, the higher your score becomes. If you like improving your typing through merciless punishment and nearly impossible challenges that will kill you within seconds, then this game is for you. It will quickly and silently show you how bad your typing really is and give you an avenue to obsessively improve it. I admit you get quite a rush when you finally catch a break and start running really fast through the obstacles and your s…

I won't be recommending this game to others, yet. Here are a few things that can be made better by the dev: Major problems - there is no way to really aim at the flying enemy, as they can move out of the way of the arrow. - if 2 successive jumps are required, there is not enough time to see the next work to jump, let alone typing it. - clouds in certain back ground colors is the same shade of white as the 4 words. visibility problems. Minor problems - have an option for quick restart, since there will be a lot of retries. I realize that it is a part of the challenge, but scaling down the difficulty might make less players rage quit. Typing games are rare nowadays, hopefully this game will keep improving.

Okay, I actually think this game is not without its good points, but it does have some fatal flaws. I love the typing angle, but more often than not - I don't care how fast you type - it is impossible to avoid obstacles for very long seamlessly. Why is this? Because you cannot spell RICOCHET and then ASCEND fast enough to jump over a pit and then the spider that comes RIGHT after. They honestly should've programmed it so that the obstacles and enemies HAVE to stay a decent distance apart so you actually have a chance to avoid EVERY obstacle or enemy that shows up. You will fail multiple times in this game and it will often not even be your fault. This alone might not seem like the worst thing in the world on its own, but when so many runs end with you being eliminated because of an impossible challenge rather than human error, then the satisfaction that comes with making a decent distance is very rare and you are left with gameplay that predominantly frustrates and disappoints. :( The way they switch up the trigger words with alternate ones that often barely even pass for synonyms can also add to your confusion while playing, even if the JUMP, SHOOT, ATTACK, and ROLL displays DO…
