No options regarding how the game is upscaled to fullscreen, such as to change the filtering mode to make it less blurry, and without fullscreen is in a tiny window on my screen. Will have to give this a miss.4 found this helpful
Another great Aldorlea and Gemelle rpg. It has all the desired elements for players like secret rooms, quests, open world exploration. But the best thing of all is the auto battle option, thanks for that devs!!1 found this helpful
I don't know if Aldorlea is still making games or not, but if you are. 1 Enable an option to adjust resolution, basically I have the choice between a tiny unplayable window, or Alt + Enter to make it full screen which makes the mouse position not line up to the cursor so you don't know where you are clicking. 2 Enable Controller Support. I love classic turn based RPGs and I'd love to play this and give it a proper review. To anyone else reading this, it applies to every Aldorlea game that I have tried. I wanted to leave this without a thumbs up or thumbs down because I didn't get to play the game, but it forces me to pick one and I can't give a thumbs up for an unplayable game. I will change my review to a thumbs up if they get it fixed, I have tried this on both Windows and Linux, I wouldn't leave the thumbs down if it were only broken on Linux,
Undefeated, developed and published by Aldorlea Games, is a traditional turn-based role-playing game that fully embraces the structure and sensibilities of classic Japanese-inspired RPG design. Released on Steam in 2015, it represents one of Aldorlea’s more content-rich standalone titles, offering a lengthy campaign, multiple difficulty settings, and a strong emphasis on exploration and side content. Rather than attempting to modernize the formula with radical mechanical experimentation, Undefeated doubles down on nostalgic systems, presenting a familiar but robust adventure aimed squarely at players who appreciate methodical progression and classic combat loops. The story centers on three protagonists—Marcus, Bastien, and Fela—who begin their journey as ordinary conscripts drawn into a larger crisis threatening their homeland. The narrative follows a traditional arc of escalating conflict, mysterious forces, and gradually unfolding revelations about the spreading corruption known as the Wastelands. While the plot leans on recognizable genre tropes, it unfolds at a steady pace and is supported by a world that feels populated with optional dialogue, hidden lore, and meaningful side…
🎮 Undefeated Review ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The Good: 📖 Story Is Alright. The story itself is decent and holds attention adequately. ✅ Not a Bad Game Overall. It's not bad at all. Has enough redeeming qualities to be enjoyable. ⚠️ Manageable Quirks. A few quirky glitches where you enter a place from the right and end up underneath the next area. Nothing game-breaking though. The Bad: 🐛 Minor Glitches Present. There are a few quirky glitches with clipping issues between areas. Visual bugs but don't stop progress. ⚔️ Battles Can Get Tedious. Otherwise the battles can get a bit tedious on higher difficulties. Combat becomes repetitive without careful challenge selection. 🎯 Easy Mode Recommended. I'd recommend playing on easy mode unless you want frustrating combat encounters. Verdict: The story is alright and the game is overall not bad. Some glitchy moments with area transitions add quirk but don't ruin the experience. Combat difficulty is where players might struggle. Recommendation: Play on easy mode unless you enjoy challenging battles. Worth it if you can overlook minor glitches and prefer casual combat pacing. 👍
I couldn't get into it, but if you're into these games, its only $1 on sale
