Under The Ground

NB: The game's not super long but it does require completion in one sitting as there is no save. Bit rough around the edges, but all up it's a pretty good game. Puzzles were solid, spent quite a bit of time stewing on a couple of them. Things that could be fixed - the mouse constantly wandering off to my second monitor was pretty annoying, unintentionally turning up the music/sounds while scrolling through notes (it's VERY loud at max), toy truck (not trunk), and one of the 's' in the notes is infact an 'x'. All up they're pretty minor things and it's not like the game is exorbitantly priced. Solid game if you enjoy the genre. Won the game on Steamgifts, it was not from the developer nor was it in exchange for a review.

Once you know what to do, it's actually very short and it uses assets that I've seen in other games before but...I still really enjoyed it. I have a feeling this is going to be a divisive title but I really enjoyed the escape room aspect of it and figuring out some of the puzzles took me quite some time. Longer than I'd care to admit for one or two of them. I always respect puzzles that are logical, that make sense, and still manage to make me take a little while to figure them out and this game managed to do that so there's definitely some respect there. There are a few glitches that I found. One of them managed to softlock the game but as soon as I let the developer know, they patched the game immediately and fixed the issue. Another glitch is that you can click on the doors and then immediately go through them before they are actually all the way open. But I actually really liked that glitch because it made the speedrun I did SUPER fast.…

Quite challenging tasks. The hints help, but even with hints it's not easy. Decently scary, once a monster startled me really hard. Overall, a nice to play game.
