The story is set in early 18th Century. You and your daughter travel on a carriage, and stop at a small inn for the night. As the night passes and you wake up in the morning, you find your daughter missing. Searching the premises doesn't help, either. Locals give you clues as to where you may find her, though - there is something strange happening in the former local landlord's castle, causing children to disappear.
You will be following the footsteps of a detective, who came to search for other lost children a few days before you. From his notes, and the notes of a researcher who lived here a while ago, you will begin to complete the story, piece by piece.
Beware! This place was abandoned for a reason. No corner is perfectly safe, no sound is certainly harmless.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... It looks like Amnesia and it seems interesting at first. The atmosphere is really well done. Unnerving and intense. The excellent sound contributes a lot to this. But the gameplay kills it. There's a weird stealth mechanic that forces you to hide in specific spots. And you end up apparently visible to the monster in these spots, but still he won't see you. But he'll see you in a non-specific spot, even if it's darker. This completely broke the immersion for me. It has potential, it's cheap and somewhat interesting, but you'll find something better out there.

Reminds me of Amnesia, but I am so bad at hiding from monsters lol so I ddn't get past first 5th save oh well was fun
